ParticipantI’d be looking at the door lock on this . I’ve had a similar prob with the Neff version and it was the door lock .

ParticipantAre both valves working ?
Only one valve is used for main fill but both are used during rinse fill .
Maybe its filling on rinse from only one valve ?

ParticipantWhat happens if you put it onto a spin cycle ? Des the appliance spin ?

Participantjust remember that the rear cover plate has to be removed to allow the motor/rear fan blade to be slid back enough to allow the front of the shaft to come free.

ParticipantRe: New Bosch dishwasher heat pump
bubs wrote:Went to a 4 month old Bosch dishwasher SMS50E02GB/02, used in a care home so no g-tee.
The machine is not heating, i could not find the element
Looked on the Bosch website and found part 644997 a Heat Pump. This looks to be another part now combined.Anyone had one of these apart and are the Heat Pumps prone to early failure?
Thanks
GraemeIt might be worth checking with BSH as they may still get a 1 yr warranty on the appliance .

ParticipantYou can test the heater element for resistance – It should read approx 23 – 28 ohms.
There are other possible reasons for a no heating problem.
Failure of component/track on control module
Low water levels due to blocked pressure chamber/ribbedfill hose.nomadPaul
ParticipantI’m convinced these must be made by someone else. Does anyone know ?
…oh , and after stating in another , earlier thread that i didn’t know of any Bosch models having a sealed tub , i then went to look at one 2 days later !! Another WAA model where the drum paddle had fallen off…luckily the just clip in

ParticipantCheck the sink connection first…you’d be surprised at the amount of gunk that can build up there.

ParticipantThe ‘spring’ action you can feel on the pump impellor is correct . Its a magnetic motor and so feels like its pinging on an elastic band.
Just a thought . Did you have to take off a cover off in the sump to access the impellor? The drain pump won’t drain properly unless this cover is replaced . It needs the cover in place to build up water pressure to drain correctly .
Oh , and what connection is there on the end of the drain hose , into your plumbing/waste system? Have you disconnected the waste end and tried draining the appliance into a bucket ?
nomadPaul
ParticipantYou will need to remove the lid and left hand side panel and all should become clear…but please make sure you unplug the machine and switch off the water supply first before attempting anything
nomadPaul
ParticipantYou shouldn’t get any water dripping/leaking into the appliance base .
nomadPaul
ParticipantSounds like a low water level prob on the rinse fill . Have you checked and cleaned the ribbed hose between the pressure chamber and sump ? There could be water being trapped in the pressure chamber after the initial wash/drain that is tricking the appliance into thinking it is already fulll of water. This wuld also account fot the long running times as it’s probably not heating up in the rinse cycle .

ParticipantSimon , is it constantly filling/draining/fillling/draining after start up ? This would seem to point towards the impellor jug if it has one .
424099 is the part number i believe
nomadPaul
ParticipantThere is also a peculiar fault with these machines where a faulty heater element, if leaking to Earth , will cause the door to stay locked for hours after a wash has finished.
If it happens again , and the appliance is empty of water , try unplugging the machine and see if the door then opens , after the obligatory 2 minute wait.

ParticipantTwo things normally cause steam from drawer on Drying. Both mentioned above
Blocked condensor box
Faulty inlet valve ( condensor )
