As richard said , look up into the roof of the detergent drawer area , where all the holes for the water comes out . You should see 4 squarish holes , in the middle , about 4 or 5cm’s from the front . These are probably blocked with black mildew . You can try and clear these out using a cable tie , pushing it into the holes and ‘rodding’ it a little to clear any muck .
You should also read these articles as they are full of good info

Re: Bosch Frost Free Fridge Freezer

Without knowing the exact model , my feeling would be that the block of ice is being caused by a blocked drain hole in the freezer compartment. It works the same way as the drain hole in the fridge but is probably hidden behind the back panel in the freezer .

I would be tempted to try a longer defrost , at least 48hrs and then try the appliance again.

What are the water levels like ? Low water level will prevent the heater from operating . There should be enough water to almost cover the base and normally reach the lower edge of the salt pot lid

Try telling that to a customer who transported a Siemens £500 dishwasher on its side only to have it disappear into a puff of smoke when they first tried to use it…..Bye bye one dishwasher or £300 worth of repairs .

We will always try and help people who come on here with questions but if you’re going to question our advice , why bother ?

You put the appliance on its side and blasted it full of water ?
Not a good idea TBH as you risk water getting into the electronics , both in the top of the door and in the base . Sounds like you’ve been lucky this time

It could be that there was a fault that you have now cleared . The appliance will use the last time period for a cycle as a starting point . Has the customer run a full cycle yet as you may find that after 20 mins in it will suddenly drop down 30/40 mins and then subequently settle itself down into a normal time period.

This is , of course , dependant on it filling heating draining ok.

I take it that you’ve removed the drain pump cover and checked that there’s nothing in the pump ?

Meeshu , i realise that your preference is for depressed buttons ( i prefer happy ones 🙂 ) but the buttons on our new Bosch machines are designed for a ‘soft’ touch . There is no need for any heavy pressure on them , just a matter of laying your fingertip on it really. Undue pressure can cause the skip of two or three steps forward that you mentioned .
The delay between the touching of the button and cycle starting is just the electronics of the machine setting itself up .
The length of cycle is because the appliances use a lot less water than your toploader , and so compensate fot the lower water levels by extending the wash time. Apparently its a lot better for the enviroment.

Re: Tecnik TKD 795/2 wont drain

If you press the two reset buttons on the control panel , can you hear the pump fire up ? If you only get a faint hum then the chances are that somethings jamming the impellor of the pump . ( glass shard/crockery fragment – it doesn’t take much )

The pump impellor can be accessed by removing the white cover on the left hand side in the bottom sump – remove the water (using a small beaker/towles ) and all the filters to access this area – You will need a torx 20 drive to remove the screw holding the cover on. Then its just a case of checking round the impellor –

If you do find an obstruction , remove it and make sure you put the cover back in place before testing.

Remember to turn power off before investigating.

p.s If you have the instruction manual , there is a small section in there showing how to get to the pump impellor

Kiwi’s , as usual , look pretty awesome but surprisingly have only won the world cup once , in its first year – 1987. France , as the home nation , are also well fancied but i think they will wilt under the pressure of expectation. The Aussies and South Africa are quite evenly matched i feel and could upset the two faves somewhere along the line.
England , whilst not expected to win it , will reach the semi’s and if they do , who knows ?

Dark horses for a few upsets…possibly Argentina or Italy who have big packs.

Love to watch the Pacific nations if they start to throw it around and look out for those big hits from Tonga and Samoa……some of them will probably even be legal 8)

    “…..swing low….sweet chariot…..”

    So far so good 😀
