    Re: ELECTRICAL LICENCE

This is a UK based site, so I regret that we have no information with regards to Oz qualifications. Keep an eye on the thread, there are several Oz posters to this forum, so you may get a reply.

Are you thinking of emigrating? 😀

    Regards,

    Re: Warm Electrolux ER6641T Fridge

The thermostat at the simplest level is just a switch, a make/break contact. If the thermostat is turned to the “0” or off position, the contacts should be open, turn it all the way to 5 and they should make the circuit. The fridge light uses the thermostat as a convenient live supply and is usually just a spur.

I regret that for the reasons outlined at the top of the forum we cannot give you specific advice; hopefully this will give you some guidance.

Please ensure the power is off if you wish to do further testing.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.

How about different drum construction? If the Creda drum is harder to turn the capacitor will be engaged for longer? More heat etc – see posts above.

    1604812 is the pre-digital machine’s motor.
1604820 is the digital machine (ie combi timer/module) motor.

The current motor is a 1200, being a yellow label. Blue was 800, red was 1000 and green was 1400.

Quality, Simon, Quality. Ee lad, they just don’t make ’em like it these days….. Usual fault with these involved beating the resin matrix with a plastic screwdriver handle to get the blasted thing to fill at all.

You’ll get years out of it now.

There was a time not long ago when the industry standard life for an autowasher was 7 years with reasonable family use……..

With the power off, remove the door outer panel and check for broken wires in the door hinge area. Failing that, check the valve itself – you should get a reading of 3-4kOhms.

Beyond that you will probably need Pro help – check repairs@ or Repairs for a UKW repairer in your area.

    Re: White Knight Belt

Naah, sell him the belt, then point him at repairs@. UKW wins twice 😀

Personally, I use a deep socket and extension bar over the motor shaft to wind these belts on. Dead easy. Don’t tell the punters though…

You should sign up for repairs@ and Directories Mike – it’s free work.

    Enjoy,

Oh dear. Personally, I love them. Open the wardrobe door and there it all is. Pity about the prices 😀 . Oh, and all the edges are blunt. Can it get any better?

Wouldn’t mind finding out what some of these flashing light codes mean. There’s only so much you can work out from logic.

Anyway, welcome on board MM, enjoy and feel free to contribute.

‘Ere, Dave – this is in the trade forum………..

Let’s see if I can get this right. Switch on and within 3 seconds, press the start button 4 times. The first and fifth leds should illuminate. Press programme selection once – 1st led should go out. Switch off, wait 20 secs and switch back on. It should work………

    Cheers,
    Chris.

This is the Oz one, I take it. The instruction booklet is still listed; part number 515270. You should be able to order through http://www.bshappliancecare.com – I think it’s a worldwide service.
