Re: Neff Fan Oven – where does the electric go into it???

I’m not familiar with that model but normally if it’s a double oven you wire it with 6mm twin & earth cooker cable. There is usually a small square or rectangular panel you remove to get at the terminals but there are often more than 3 as in some countries they use 3 phase domestic electricity. If you can’t work out which 3 to use you can report back and we might be able to help.

    Re: Induction hob

If it’s like the AEG hob there are 2 driver modules which power 2 rings each. If something overheated on one of the modules the diagnostic circuitry would shut off those 2 rings. I think the touch controls work on light reflected off your finger rather than using a membrane.

No, still dead here. I keep getting cancellations as people seem more inclined to have a go themselves to cure blockages etc 🙁

I used to get good service from Re’lectronics in Northampton 01604 639792 but I’m not sure if they are still in business.

    Re: AEG Lavamat 6100 fault

The brushes are OK then. It could still be the motor as there is a thermal cutout which sometimes goes open circuit. The AEG is a good quality machine and it is certainly worthwhile trying to get it repaired. Try the “find an engineer” service on this site.

Re: Whirlpool AWO3761 – The pump or not the pump?

Yes, you are probably correct in your diagnosis but it would have been best to examine the pump first as it might only be an obstruction such as a rubber band fouling the impeller. On Whirlpool machines the pump is usually accessed by removing the cabinet front. Mains plug out, remove lower trim plinth, detach door seal from cabinet front, remove door switch screws, remove screws from lower edge of cabinet front and pull it toward you then down. With this panel off the rest will be self evident.

Yes, on most machines the electronics can self diagnose if the motor is not turning and will not progress through the programme.

Have you checked the motor brushes?

    Yes, these relays fail regularly.

Re: New Indesit IS70C Condenser Dryer Hot/ Damp Air?

Yes, you do need to get Indesit to send someone out to your machine as it should not be making the place damp. Is water collecting in the tank? The only way you might have problems is if the washing is too damp when it goes in the dryer, for example if it had not been properly spun by the washing machine.

    Re: Hotpoint wm31 cuts out

Your point being? I realise it won’t have individual wires to the interlock but you can still improvise a way to rig the meter probes.

Mains filter? I would try connecting the meter to C and N interlock wires and monitoring the voltage until it cuts out.
