For the noise, my bet would be cracked drum spider. I think they must have changed the metal alloy on those in recent years as they now fail in very large numbers whereas this was a fairly rare fault on pre WM models. On it’s own that should not cost too much to renew as the part is relatively cheap to buy and does not take all that long to change.

    Re: Connect what a joke!

They get worse all the time. At one time they used to ring me to see if I needed anything, had problems etc but this stopped about a year ago. I’ve only had one visit from the rep. in the years I’ve used Connect. Deliveries now usually take 3 days, although that is mainly down to DHL. Trying to get them to deal with returns is like trying to get blood out of a stone. They ignore emails and if you phone they say they will get someone to ring back with a returns number but never do. On my last payment I made a deduction for 3 broken fire bars that they can’t be bothered to collect/credit. 👿

Thanks gents, went back with another interlock and found the machine already working away as normal. Apparently one of the workers had come to the machine assuming it was sorted, loaded it up, turned it on and it worked 😕 I probably just pressed the wrong buttons or something.

Re: Bosch oven and induction hob

By tandem I assume you mean in parallel as neither appliance would work connected in series. I can’t believe he has not seen that before as most oven/hobs are done like that. If the oven takes more than 13 amps and needs say a 16amp MCB you would really have to run an extra cable to the consumer unit, if there were any spare spaces. I can’t see many people going to that trouble/expense. If the oven takes less than 13 amps you can take a spur off the cooker switch to a fused outlet or socket/plug.

Nothing appears to be broken but there seems to be no part of the handle that goes anywhere near the pecker. I’ve looked at the door handle assembly on the Connect site and it all looks the same as on the machine.

    Re: Another joke.

A QUANTAS flight is on it’s way to Melbourne, when a blonde sitting in Economy gets up and moves to the First Class section, and sits down. The flight attendant asks to see her ticket and tells her that as she paid for economy, she will have to go and sit in the back. The blonde says, “I’m blonde, I’m beautiful, I’m going to Melbourne and I’m staying here”.
The flight attendant tells the co-pilot that there is some blonde bimbo sitting in first class who belongs in economy and won’t go back to her seat.
The co-pilot goes back and gave her the same spiel that the flight attendant had, and the blonde says “I’m blonde, I’m beautiful, I’m going to Melbourne and I’m staying here”.
The exasperated co-pilot tells the captain that he failed, and that they probably should have the Police waiting when they land to arrest this blonde who will not listen to reason.
The pilot says, “You say she’s blonde? I’ll handle this. I’m married to a blonde and I speak blonde”. He goes back to the blonde and whispers in her ear, and she says “Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t know”, and gets up and moves back to her seat in the economy section.
The flight attendant and the co-pilot are amazed and ask him what he said to make her move without any fuss.
The pilot said, “I told her first class doesn’t go to Melbourne”

I very rarely have to use customers loos but round here we are fairly well provided with public ones. What gets me is people like builders and joiners who are at peoples houses all day, drinking frequent cuppas and never ask for the loo 😯 It makes you wonder what goes in the mortar, plaster, concrete etc :rolls:

I never see a rep. but they are usually OK about taking returns back by collection with a returns number…… until last time. I have a security lantern that is faulty. I have phoned and emailed about it but so far no returns number. 👿

More help needed now! There is also a problem with the LCD programme number display, some segments are not working so you can’t tell which programme is on. Customer has used it like this for some time but now also wants this sorted. I guess this will mean a new top PCB but do you have a part number for this please?

The dishwasher problem might be down to water pressure where it’s installed. If the pressure is too high or low the pressure diaphragm in the inlet valve can sometimes shut off the intake. I’ve sometimes taken machines to the workshop where they work perfectly then play up again as soon as you return them to the customer :bang:
Yes the Beko is most likely a board fault.
