18 months? How many repairs in that time? How many days off work do people have waiting in? we have no tech info no spares because got to come from china etc? so usually 2visits at least. Never known one last 18 months 18 hours would push it and i have known a lot fail well within 18 hours! by the time you add it all up the time off the inconvenience and hassle your better off just buying something decent to start with you would actually save money get a better product and it would last at least four times longer now thats what i call a bargin!
Same with everything else in life you get what you pay for. As my dad always says there is nothing so expensive as rubbish.

    Re: Generic thermistors for refrigeration

I know miele have a couple of kits(just cut end off and reconnect new thermister with through crimps and heat shrink!) that fits about 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of their range because of all the trouble they had with them so i should imagine there is a generic type out there.
Sorry forgive me got that wrong forgot the miele propaganda hype and bulls{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}t!! I am meant/required/forced/threatend/brainwashed to say because of how reliable they are it’s to improve quality to an even higher standard! HORRLICKS!!!!!
Shame they don’t think about an higher quality level with their electronics seems to be the most common and most expensive thing(hmmm strange that) i and nearly all the other engineers i know who work on miele change on ANY miele appliance although they keep telling sorry INSISTING/THREATING its never the electronics! i suppose they’re right and i am wrong but i am the one who goes out and fixes them.
Sorry rant over it just gets me when you have to try and charge their over inflated prices (just had to quote a poor old lady nearly £500 for a power and control board) for something that should not brake down in the first place or that quick! Don’t know if it’s me or what but they seem to be getting far less reliable now a days.

    Re: Miele not draining

Has it got the plastic Y piece by the side of the dispenser?if so i would clear the y piece and all the hoses attached to it 1 goes down to drain pump housing 1 to the non return valve and 1 to the dispenser/tub hose. theyhave a nasty habit of causing all sorts of problems.

I don’t know how true it is and i certainly have not seen any evidence of it so i would take it only as a RUMOUR!! A freind of mine who works at the lux group said they was going back to making split drums with bolts again because of trouble they have had!!!
Has i have said only a rumour upto yet though 😥
