Re: WMA36 valve kicking during spin, after major sump blocka

Think penguin is right but just out of curiosity is the drain pump and the valve wired in series on these???? thats the only possible connection i could see apart from motor that the valve would energise on spin

    just a thought phil :rolls:

If you take the lid off you should be able to see the wires on the outside of the heater box just connecting to either the heating elements fan or thermostats failing that might be the heating elements on the dryer but you will need a test meter to test that properly! 6 yrs old is not that bad to be fair and they are certainly better then some of the newer machines on the market at the minute imo

    power off first!!!!

Rinses light usually means no signal from the tacho on the motor to the board within 1.5s. could be your carbon brushs, motor, electronic board or even your wiring loom! i would go with the brushs first though much cheaper. these can be tricky to access/remove/replace depends on your skill you usually get to the motor by removing/opening the front panel on mieles personally i would get an engineer to look otherwise could work out very costly just swapping parts on one of these machines.

power off first if your going to attempt anything!

They have a big heater relay and its not on the pcb. But chances are its the toc check for blockages ventilation etc ive also seen the fans block up with dog hair etc which restricts circulation.

if its how i remember there will be 2 larger holes near the centre of the back panel that you position diagonal at quater to 3 position undo allen keys which you can see through the 2bigger holes 7mm if i recall and then undo all allen keys around back plate back plate should then come off leaving 3 or 4 7mm screws undo them and heater bank slides out.
    hope that helps.

sounds like a blockage either in your pump, drain hose or the base of the machine not an easy job to clean out so i would double check your drain hose and pump first.

Re: Can I repair a LPG appliance if im Nat Gas trained

its a very gray area i just listen to my grandads saying “if in doubt do nowt” as i say if anything goes wrong they WILL look at the last person on the job regardless of qualifications or people being told to just do it wont be an answer to them your liable and thats it.

As i understand it the bayonet cap logic is just so people can pull the cooker out to clean behind it thats all.

Had the same problem on a delongi range had to replace loom i wouldnt do it at the time my acs had run out so they sent someone else back he done it not qualified one of the tags on the timer was touching gas pipe main gas pipe/meter was not earthed come back in as a recall customer complaining of getting shocks!! luckily it got sorted without to much fuss but could of been very dangerous the engineer was just lucky it got sorted out quicklyand no one got harmed.

Your in your right to say no to do a job when your not qualified to do it and they shouldnt try to make you do such things anyway it is not just you what happens if you hurt or kill someone i personally would not do it
