Try plugging something else into socket and seeing if that works in it first to see if there is power to the socket otherwise i would be looking at probably door interlock or electronic module etc etc might be worth getting someone in to have a look but if you do look yourself remember power off first!!

sounds like you have had a leak into the base of the machine which activates a float switch so then all that will happen is you will get the drain pump on and lights flashing its a safety device. looks like you will need an engineer to find the leak and rectify the problem not a job i would advise you to undertake yourself because these can be a bit awkward.

ParticipantRe: Miele G1270 f14
Take left hand side panel off(take lid off 2screws on top 3 screws on front 1 screw on rear might need to take kick panel aswell) its usually right by the circ pump if i remember its just a push fit type connector oval shape.

ParticipantRe: Miele g1270
The relay is the heater relay you should hear circ pump cut in for a few seconds to try and build up the pressure then go off if it does this check pressure switch if it doesnt cut in at all check circ pump itself if they have been stood a while they have a tendency to stick/seize or impeller could be blocked but if it is the circ pump itself sit down because they are expensive!!!

Heater relay but usually pressure switch then drops out saying not enough pressure from circ pump. 80-90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time its the pressure switch playing up the rest usually blocked circ pump and on the odd ocasion the circ pump itself.Nice easy little job hope this helps
