Nope this is not one with a filter & the pump & hose have been replaced – It sits at the back similar to a hotpoint – & It is NOT a blockage as EVERYTHING in the WD is clean & clear (was there 2 hours scratching my head – & I don’t have much hair as it is !)

Have you tried just plain good old “Soda Crystals” ? – I use this in my Bosch whenever I do a service wash (90’Deg) & then leave the door open for the night – This seems to stop any bad smells. Do this every month whether it needs it or not & you’ll not get the smell anywhere near as bad.

PS:I agree that the drum type should make no difference about the smell.

You could try & I emphasise CLEAN cat litter in a bowl – Worked for me in my Bosch days with a FF that had died while a cust had shellfish in it – after a month it stank !!!

The only thing you’ve gotta be really carefull of is stressing the motor shaft when removing the fan blade to get to the top screw – otherwise it will rattle like mad ! – I’d give a 12 Month warranty too (you should be able to claim this back from BSH – If you bought the element from them!?)

When I try to run both of the programs it’s saying the program isn’t installed & then quits – where am I going wrong ?
