New heater required plus new connectors (insulated)
A common problem caused by vibration/poor connection

    Hi there

The clock will not show a fault code
It may be faulty but it is also obsolete so the only remedy would be to have it bypassed
However the selector switch could be faulty and could give the same symptoms.give it a good look over for signs of burning.

Re: HOTPOINT DISHWASHER NOT FILLING WITH WATER

First lamp is fault code 1 -water leak into base
Power off and tip machine backwards a little if water is seen on floor that confirms it
First point to check for leak is the plastic nut beneath the bottom spray arm is not loose
    Happy hunting

Re: Hotpoint SDW60P heating element blown

Sort out the heater first ( you may find it’s just the wires/plug if you are lucky)
    Machine may work after that
Poor connections and vibration causes that

A quick update for you. I wrote to Baumatic with the following:

    StuMo wrote:
Our element in our Baumatic B720SS lower (fan) oven has failed. I am trying to source a replacement. I have been told that the 2 turn 1500W element that was originally installed has been superceded by a 2500W 3 turn element. Is this true? We had the new 2500W element installed and no the thermostat seems to be failing – and the oven heats up until the safety cut off kicks in.

    They replied very quickly with:

    Baumatic wrote:
The 3 ring element is the direct replacement for the old 2 turn style, they
were replaced a few years ago across the Baumatic range as they were found
to be more efficient than the 2 turns previously used.

I hope this information is useful

So, I have now asked them to clarify on the wattage….

    Cheers,
    Stu
