Re: WhiteKnight CL787 condensor tumble dryer belt?

rob after coffee and a fag, brain kicked in…is the drum rotating freely? if not, motor would turn and with drum jammed the belt might well overheat and as the motor is still turning against a non moving belt it would create enough friction to burn it out..back to the coffee.

Re: WhiteKnight CL787 condensor tumble dryer belt?

rob, very stange that the belt was burnt…dryer belts are usually very tight if there is no jockey pulley arrangement but not usually exposed to the kind of heat which would cause it to burn. any visible clues inside the cabinet as to source of such extreem heat because if the belt was burnt there should be some other evidence of the source.

POWER OFF,remove back panel, unplug motor block wiring and earth, you will need a 13mm spanner to remove motor fixing bolts then when you have motor on work surface change brushes.. refit motor.

paul thats about right. keep an eye on it for the next few washes. you will find that whenever you select any prpgramme on a dishwasher you should hear the drain pump come in first then water enters.

paul, there will always be some water left in the bottom of the d/w.. the amount of water varies a bit but normaly the water level should be just lower than the top of the filter . if there is water which covers the base of the d/w then its too much. hope this helps.

    Re: Kitchenfitters tricks!

as above re fridge and freezer side by side. also as above the two were metal tied together, screws put in before the worktop was laid. told cust…get them back…he rang me 2weeks later…fitters gone bust…when he rang other fitters they of course were terribly sympathetic but eventually after nearly 4months, during the summer without a fridge he did get someone out..the fitters were too busy fitting more new designer kitchens to bother with someone elses crap! 🙂 😮

and yet another, full sized d/w under stainless steel draining board. sink unit with normal bowl and small rinse bowl alongside. d/w had to come out. pulled, twisted, grunted, swore (under breath) reverends wife nearby. brute force won!!! obviously the fine fitters had mis measured space for d/w and had not allowed for width of rinse bowl. d/w BER. offered slimline d/w….no she said i want a full size one!!! ok, you’re the customer…she calls me back…i’ve bought a bosch..the only way it would fit was remove both side panels and as much sound deadening stuff and push it in, making sure it would come out fot maintainance..she was happy about all this… 😳 :rolls:
