Have you looked at the machine yet? If not that would be the best avenue to pursue first.

    Re: samsung pump

The Samsung pump had a toc fitted as standard. They were either chinese where the impellor broke away or Brazillian copies of Askoll and were fitted with a toc because Samsung knew they were fitting junk. I have fitted both Askoll and Plaset with no problems.

    Thanks Mike,
couldn’t get anything on Connect but was putting Electrolux, not Distriparts and also had to resatrt my laptop from scratch last night so that may not have helped.
Also much cheaper than my 2006 version just hope it works on Vista as the 2006 version won’t.

    Thanks Geoff,
Very helpful and confirmed my thoughts but it doesn’t say if the hose/solenoid is one shot. I think it isn’t but at £45 it could be an expensive mistake.

    Great brand,
when I got married,, we were given a 12 yr old Prestcold fridge and had it for another 10 when the ex said lets’s get a new one so we got Electrolux and gave the old one away and ar as I know it lasted another 8 yrs.
Pity electrolux and the rest don’t get one and re-introduce exactly as this is made and introduce some quality into their products.(but they wouldn’t want that, would they?)

Re: Hoover (Gias) Engineers No Work

I wouldn’t bother for £30 but if you are a one man band, work is slow and you ain’t got to go far then £30 per call less expenses goes some way to paying the mortgage so from that angle it could be a lifesaver. The problem as I see it is that if work picks up and you are tied into the deal then you begin to see that a rip off is occuring and should get shot if possible. As a short term thing in hard times, ok, but not long term.

Not anymore! and I’ve had a Pilot from new, 66 months and one repair for £28 plus regular servicing.

    Rover,

Was a pile of rubbish, too which the great British buyer, didn`t buy.
Did you ever have one? They weren’t rubbish just out of fashion and not foreign names which the British buyer seems to prefer,ie: Matsui, Saisho, Ikasu.
    Get my drift?

    Hotpoint, Hoover.
Not quite rubbish until the foreigners got their hands on them again because of the foreign names being better??? Indesit, Ariston, Candy

I`m no fan of Gordon, he`s an amazing accountant, but ask anybody who has worked for companies run by former accounts, they all judge a business by the profit and loss, not by human effects.

Its not just the Italians, I`ve worked in Spain, there public only buy Spanish or what there led to believe anyway.

Thats why Balay owned by Bosch/Siemens sell Bosh appliances with Balay branding.

So the great British multi cultural society has some blame, they voted Labour in the first place. :rolls:

    That I agree with 😛
Looks like I can’t get the hang of this quote thing either
