Oh yes, definately was a kink. Made sure it wasn’t kinked when I put it back though. Will go back and put a new one on next time I’m at the flats.
24 in two blocks of flats. Mixture of WD420s/WF321s/CTDs and APM8513/2 – also mix and match ovens and hobs. Each one is installed differently to different standards all around Oct 07. Just waiting for them to all start falling over… Nice little earner, just can’t do the hobs as they’re gas but only had one igniter fail and gas guy around the corner does little jobs for me and I help in out when he needs a hand. Was only there again yesterday, three WMs in a week. 😀 😀 😀C00194506 – cheers Jim – £5.95 plus at MP and special order??? Anywhere else???

robbra wrote:Thanks but I’m a bit confused now.
What’s a hybrid timer? This one has a combined timer module.
This is a WM52 not WMA.
The motor taken off is a 6 pin,4+2 and a small tacho.
The motor he wants me to fit is a 7 pin with black brushes and a small bolt through the tacho.
ThanksThat’s a hybrid timer, combined timer and module/mtr control. HTH

ParticipantRe: dogs
Reminds of a job just last year. Busy working on cooker in very narrow kitchen, window behind me open becuase it was very warm. Lady of the house in the other room working….. … just kept getting the feeling that I wasn’t alone (I knew no one else was in) and started to feel uneasey, stood, turned around to be face to face with a DONKEY. (about a foot away)Gave me a bit of a shock and didn’t think I’d made a noise but the lady shouted, don’t worry Steve, since you were last here we’ve now got a donkey, don’t be alarmed. No s&*(. could of warned me.
Dog lover myself and normally very confident with them but don’t like turning up to farms or similar properties with packs of dogs waiting for you to get out of your car… do I?/Don’t I?….. (you can imagine the dog saying”go on, make my day, make a run for the house…)
Not done it myself but understand a little bit of “checking insulation levels” on yappy dogs tends to keep them at bay 😀 😀 😀 😀

👿 🙁 👿Yep, had this, DH hell delivery just before 8pm one night, some boy racer in 20 year old BMW with hugh spoilers and mod kits fitted everywhere. Hardly any room for parcells ‘cus his parcel shelf was taken over by speakers only just small to fit in his car. This was 2 days after they had apparently called and outcarded it. That day some one was in most of the day and we got no card…!!
I’ve stopped promising cusotmers next daydelivery but tell them 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time I can get it next day subject to delivery. DH Hell delivery is up to 8pm and most others are up to 6pm – don’t fancy going out at 8pm.
That said, Masterpart have gone back to using City Link and they’re not too bad. They even follow the instructions for when customers are out. Most of the time though the same couriers use the same drivers in our area and If I’m in when they deliver I try and make the effort to be sociable and even offer them a brew. They never take one of course becuase they’re too busy but do seem to get better service. Most of the time it’s not the overworked delivery driver that’s at fault.

If you have no joy try
http://www.elementman.com/proddetail.as … elling5042Don’t know what trade discount is like but worth it as a fall back. Very occasionally use them if unusual or OOS items if cusotmer willing tp pay the extra.

ParticipantRe: Fitting door seal – any special requirements?
Ian,
Not unusual for drains to block. Try a long cable tie or similar2-300mm. Better still, when you come to do the door seal, check at the back. The drained water should drip into a tray above the compressor. Ensure the drain is fully clear. Long cotton buds work well and make you cringe when you see what you get out. 😯 😯 8O. I generally pour a small amount of water down the hole to ensure it runs clear. (long necked household plant watering can does the job a treat)
Also brush condensor clean with a soft brush (black grill), wipe clean the drain tray and generally a good clean up. Basic mintenance really. Unplug of course.

ParticipantRe: Anyone know this company CSM Bolton
Hi Lawrence,
In a sticky situation now. I was just about to ring the tenant again (she was out last night) when I tought I’d check for updates. Not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure I’ve got an element to fit it after the usual Xmas rush. It’s a Belling oven and not the large flexi one but 082619738 or ARD524011800.
I’m just going to ring around see if I can get one. If not tough but if I can, I’m going to ask for “fasterpayment” direct into bank account and boss at home can check it for me.
Thanks for the help.
PS I did some more re-search last night on companies house website. Company is listed as “Maintenace and repair of motors”. 😯 😯

ParticipantRe: Bosch built-in oven – what have I done wrong?
That’s it, just look at it and you will find contacts have either melted or disentegrated – normally quite obvious normally.
It’s on the diagrame on page 2
https://www.bosch-eshop.com/eshop(bD1lbiZjPTAwOQ==)/bosch/gb/prodp.htm?prod=HBN432AGB{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}2f01&ESHOPTYPE=S
Different ones for main oven and top oven though, watch out.
Would also suggest you don’t go removing any wires from the selector. You’re bound to forget. If it is the selector, wait until you have the part, make a good note of the wires then change.
As ever, power off and keep the kids away, small inquesitive little fingers don’t make for a good working environment.

Spot on, easy peasy Japenese squeezy job. Would kill for jobs like that. Mind you it was 6pm when I got to it tonight so good job it was easy.
Newish estate, I’ll stock up on a few as spares ‘cus hopefully there will be an epidemic of them soon. Mind you, I think they’re all going to fall down before long, this one had a 1″ gap between work unit and the wall. The guy said, “don’t worry, there’s a 3” crack in his bedroom wall and he can see the insulation. 😯 😯 😯
Thanks again

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint hinges
I fitted a pair a while back, definately cheaper from shop@ than MP – it pays to shop around. If you need single item the shop is normally cheaper than MP. 😀

Glad about that, got the coupling coming tomorrow so could close this one as back that way pm. 😀 😀
After 2 pm then stick another 24hrs onto it.
Martin, noted your point about ordering before 2pm and will see how I get on.
Thanks folks :salute:

ParticipantRe: HBN13N520GB/01
Thanks Martin, thought that way myself but my main supplier MP only have the coupling. Could get that with the rest of my order from today. The other part is POA (which normally means a silly price and wait)
I might just have to bite the bullet and order both parts from BSH but their delivery is always a bit hit and miss – anywhere between 1-10 working days I’ve found.
I might just go out and scavenge the parts from the top oven to get the MO working for Chrimbo.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel WVT1260GB/01 Not Drying
you could try the shop@ http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/advanced … rds=173910
BSH price is ok but add vat & p&p (then carefully read T&C for delivery, up to 10 working days but usually quicker)…. shop@ might be your best bet. Probably quicker and worth any minor difference in price…
