Went to customer yesterday and he’s got a flyer from some company that states it the AWM9000 meets Cat 5 prevention control so he phoned local water company and they agreed it was ok !! So he’s refusing to have the plumbing work done and is buying it. Oh well, I guess I’ll get the job of repairing it when it goes wrong.
No ISE I’m afraid…

Customer has come back to me today to say that he’s been told that a Whirlpool AWM9000 will be sufficient to use at his practice and there will be no need to put any backflow measures in as required by water company. (cat 5 risk – the highest one)
I’ve never seen one before but having just looked on the Whirlpool service website it just looks like and ordinary appliance to me – …
I think some one’s pulling his leg and trying to get him to buy it – he’s also desperate not to pay out the money to have the plumbing work done.
Anyone know any different?? ………I WILL get him to buy that ISE 2.

ISE 2 £275.00 BTW. 8)Jim.
What’s up Jim, don’t you like vets ???
He took over £1K off us last year for treatment for our dogs’ cancer – got most of it back though from insurance. 🙂
Anyway, I’ll get hold of our local ISE dealer in Boston and see if he’s got one in.
The Customer knows the score on no warranty due to non domestic use.
Thanks Steve

Thanks to all for help.
Don – WP top loader just a tad too big but thanks for advice and have kept the site for reference.
How much is an ISE 2 ??- I can find price for ISE 5/10 and the dryer.
I don’t know why I didn’t think about an ISE for his surgery.I’ll try and run an ISE 2 by him…… He’s in a bit of shock at the moment as he’s just got my quote to bring his premises up to Water Reg standards after water company inspection. He needs to put cat 5 back flow protection to feed 2 of the 3 WMs as well as other work. The installation of the cat 5 protection going the cost C£1600.00… 😥 😥
He needs one of these or similar fitting !!

Mind you, he’s got 2 1/2 weeks left to have it done or no water supply/prosecution time !!! Up to £2k for each violation for these WRs.
