Just to update this one as well. Even Hotp tech support couldn’t help, even their records show it as a gas hob !!!. They recommnded C00029159 but it didn’t sound correct (switch – end terminals) and I was sure it was a (switch side terminals) – but no pictures anywhere to confirm. Eventually received C00049824 after a long time on back order -Bingo – I was correct….

Just to say thanks for your help Iadom.

Hi to all who helped. You were all correct…it was partially seized bearings on the motor…

    Re: WVF2402gb/02

Yahoo… I was correct, just need to be more confident. Fitted new tripple vavle ten minutes ago… and water floweth in to the condensor…..

One in the eye for my local competition who spent over an hour there and didn’t fix it…. (lady wouldn’t tell me how much he charged though)

That’s twice in a month I’ve fixed applicances that other engineers locally had “fixed” before me !!! Both of them have got years more experience than me and own shops so they more business than me… but the tide is slowly turning.

Now back to attemp that big WP TD I’ve been putting off.

    Steve 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

    Re: Whirpool 3XLER5435HQ-0 Tumble Drier,

Didn’t get to this today but delayed until tomorrow or even Wednesday. TBC.

What’s the best way to change the motor?? (if it is the motor)

Obviously front off..no problems. The drum rests on 2 trollies or wheels I believe. Does the drum just lift off the wheels and out?? (After disconnecting belt from the pulley.) I know there’s no shaft at the rear of the drum.

Any futher tips would be appreciated.

    Martin,

I like that. Clear and concise and clarifies some important points.

Just what I like about UKW and why I am going to join the WGTA. I’m just finding it hard to pluck up the courage to get my wallet out of my pocket.

Any more quizes on the the way???

went to 2 like this in Nottingham:

No1. Called to look at all white goods in a house (brown goods guy came at same time to look at brown goods). They explained the family was had been away, came back and sent their sone up staird to clean his teach to go to bed….. mummy the water is burning me… turns out water was live!!!. To cut a long story short. short in cabling outside their house……did all the expected damage to modules etc and killed all TVs and microwave.. son needed hospital tratmentbut lived.

No2. Called to a regular customer to find her not there but her sister. Her sister explained that her sister had tried to turn the kitchen tap on and got electric shock but muscles made her keep hold of the tap. ~Don’t the final out come but she was very seriously ill. Fault….QUALIFIED Corgi gas enginer has installed new gas boiler shortly before…gave them gas safety certificate…no problems…he just kind of forgot about the continuity earth bonding……!!!!
