I would get your insurance company to claim from ford and also claim for loss of earnings as well as contents of the van.

Sorry to here of the problem.

That is the trouble when you buy when Ford have one of there red hot sales.

I had a big company in my area did the same advertised in the area then phoned me if I wanted the job.

This happened a few times and I declined every time.

I went to three jobs in a short time and each one had paid upfront for a visit and been let down by this company and were waiting for a refund £90 upfront.

I did not think each customer had much hope of getting a refund and had contacted there credit card company.

All three jobs were near Christmas and the customers found me online and the other company no longer advertise online under the same name.

The seal is part of the door and a new door is required.

If you have a seal to fit then you have to pull the old one off carefully as it clips under the door liner.

Then you have to push the rear of the new seal under the liner but in most case’s the liner becomes loose and will not hold the seal on.

A new door is the only way for a good repair.

    Even with a new door.

You then have to warm up the new seal on the new door with a steamer or hair dryer to get a seal on the door, as the seals are normally crushed flat and will not seal against the cabinet.

Sometimes you have to wait until the temperature drops before the fan starts

Get the customer to turn it off for a couple of hours with the fridge door open or.

Turn it off and warm the tank with a hair dryer keeping the hair dryer moving and not in one spot for 5 mins.

Then turn it back on and dispense a couple of litres of water.

if the problem returns then it will be a rear panel or defrost fault.

if it is less than 5 years old Samsung has extended the warranty to 5 years

What is the reason for removing the control panel as it is rare for PCB problems on this model.

Yes it is behind the ice trays and it just clips in so you just have to pull it off.

It is best to pull it near the top centre you need to put a large screwdriver or large Allen key in the vent to pull it.

But be careful not to damage the polystyrene insulation under the cover.

Yes easy to replace on this model when you take the top back panel off inside the freezer.

The fan is only held on with 2 screws and it plugs in so no wiring to do.

You can get energy saving bulbs for the spotlight now this will give you a big saving.

And if the motor on the freezer is not hot to the touch so you cannot keep your hand on it
Then do not worry about the Freezer.

Newer freezers use smaller compressors so draw less power but they run for longer so you will not get a great saving.

If you buy a new one you also have to cover the purchase cost before you save any money.

The sensor wires will be broken near the sensor, you can solder and insulate them or buy a new sensor.
