I think we get good value for the size of the Hotel and at least you do not bump in to
    Lenny Henry. 😀

The breakfast is better than the PT Inns I have stayed at and the cheap rooms advertised are always booked. 😯

Keep up the good work Brian as the price has stayed the same since we started using the Hilton.

    See you in March

    Re: Beko DVC6631 oven problem

Have you set a time on the oven timer?

If the Timer is just displaying zero and no time is set the main oven will not work.

If you set a time and it is not working it will be the thermal overload cut out NTC faulty.

On Beko ovens this is normally a long wire with a thermal cut out in it runs from the switch to the element and clips to the back of the oven cavity.

On your model it may have a separate cut out attached to the oven cavity .

If the oven was making a noise but no heat before you replaced the element then you have not set a time on the clock.

Re: Coolzone fridge/freezer won’t cool properly since transp

Some times a blockage of oil can be cleared but you risk the chance of some oil remaining and blocking again.

This involves a total Regas and clearing the system of oil.
If it has been running for a time with a blockage this also puts stress on the compressor seals so you may also have problems with the compressor not pumping correctly.

The cost to try and repair is not worth repairing this type of fridge / freezer.

Re: Where do these people come from?

The best one I had was a call to a fridge repair for an 82 year woman.

The fridge was a built in fridge and about 17 years old and had seen better days.

The compressor had seized and I advised her I could replace the compressor but due to the age and condition of the fridge she would be better spending the money on a new one.

I advised her I only repair and do not sell appliances and she asked how much she owed for the call out.

I normally charge a half price call for BER appliances but advised her I had to pass her house on the way home so I would not charge her for the visit as it was BER.

About an hour later I had a call from her very angry Daughter saying I had upset her mother as I had not charged her for the visit.

She said her Mum does not except charity.

She said she would send a cheque in the post for a full call out fee and would not recommend or use my services again.

I would have expected a call from her Daughter if she thought I had charged her Mum and not repaired it but for a free of charge call the mind boggles. 😀

I received the cheque in the post next day so she must have put it in the post straight away.

You cannot always believe what the customer tells you if he would not give a name.

He may have taken it apart himself but did not like to look a fool.

    Re: American Whirlpool catastrophic defrost

If the compressor is humming for a short time then clicks the compressor has seized.

A compressor can be replaced but it depends on the condition of the fridge if it is worth replacing.

    Re: American Whirlpool catastrophic defrost

It sounds like it has lost the refrigerant.

It is most likely the pipe work has corroded and the gas has leaked out.

This is the most common fault on this model.

It can be repaired if you can find a fridge engineer that can repair R134a refrigerant systems in your area.

I think you could have made an effort and fitted them in tomorrow 25th.

It means one will have to have a party to eat all the food and one will have to wash up the dishes by hand.

When all you will be doing is enjoying yourself and putting your feet up. 😀

    Have a good Christmas

I think the best system is fords with auto headlights.

They only work as it starts to get dark.

I was driving in a tunnel and at the beginning it said you have to use headlights.

At the end of the Tunnel the police were booking drivers for not having there headlights on.

I was ok as the headlights came on automatically

Did you set a time on the clock as the oven will not work without a time set.

    Re: RS20 leaking water

If it is defrosting and the drain is iceing up then the drain heater at the bottom is faulty and will need replacing.

Assuming this is a Samsung RS20 then this model has two heaters a defrost heater on the evaporator and a drain heater below.

Re: Compressor PTC Start Relay. Restart time?

If you try to restart a compressor too soon you run the risk of seizing the compressor.

The compressor will not restart straight away due to the pressure in the system and cuts out on the thermal overload until the pressure drops.
