    Re: hoover AE130-001 control fault?

    Hi Jim

Was a while back when these first came out I used to train engineers on them.
This was Hoovers first Fuzzy logic auto, the three bars flashing is when its working out how big the load is, which it calculates by the amount of times it tops up as clothes absorb the water, then it should display the time to end. Thats why, when you select spin it shows time to end right away.
When you select a prog and start it will take a while, as it has a cam advance motor turning the timer to the selected prog.
It should cancel easy by pressing the start button untill you hear a series of bleeps think its 6. If you release the start button too quick, it goes into pause. (3 beeps)
I might have some old notes on them somewhere if needed, but to me it sounds like the timer/module faulty.

    Hope this helps

    Re: Laptops.

I have had a laptop a while now but for some of the reasons mentioned earlier I don’t take it on the road. I looked at an ultra portable notebook by Asus and after reading a number of reviews I decided to buy one. Had it for two days now and its GREAT 7″ screen, no hdd and very light. I can also get online using my mobile as a modem, so can order up and check availability.
PS they are VERY dificult to get hold of as they are so popular!

    Check out the reviews http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/laptops/0,390 … 7-1,00.htm

I will call them on Monday and try the hardship angle ( which is genuine anyway). Tax and VAT due that month!!!!

Why did I never get a call from them when I worked for Hoover??!!

Re: White Knight CL767c No heat

Only way in is from rear, drum out.. The real problem is getting the plastic fan off. Its a helluva machine to work on and thats with lots of room.

I changed one of these stats a couple of weeks back for o/heat problem, wish I’d never started!!!

For 18 quid, get the timer.
I have done a few for similar fault, almost certainly burnt contacts in timer.
If I remember, the timer supplied is different with supplied instructions.

    Hi Mark

There must have been more than 2 versions as the two shown on the TDS disc don’t match the one I have.
Also there is no PNC number on my one, only a type number and FNR number.

And I thought Hoover were bad!! :rolls:

    Thanks Alex
funny how when youve done a few the part numbers stick in your mind, I can rattle a good few old Hoover part numbers, well at least the old 6 digit ones.

BTW do you know the MO selector switch number for this oven?

    Cheers

Re: tricity bendix RE 50 GGR ELECTRIC COOKER

    Allly

Had a quick look and found 2 stats shown. This one is for serial No. up to 226 – 3111622035 then from serial No.227 – 3890770096
although these were for model RE50 GCGR.

Model RE50 GGR doesn’t show as having a top oven stat, only a reg.

I looked on Connections and they show a pic, also both in stock

    Hope this helps

    Re: Zanussi FM56 Oven

Thanks for the reply washman.. I did try that first, but neither parts look the same. Thats when I tried a PNE the reply I got was to get product code.

If all else fails I will have to try the parts shown on connection ( I alredy have the switch).
