    Re: MIELE W820 Bearings

Not too often you’ll have to do a bearing job on a Miele is the good news. They are made of sturdy stuff.
I take the cross-piece off the back, knock out bearings & seal, replace both bearings & seals. Not overly difficut to do really.
There is a sleeve/piece that can be taken off shaft & replaced if its damaged which should come with the bearing & seal kit, you may find its not damaged & in that case i’d leave it on if it looks good.
Check heater for damage, it could be about £60 or something rediculous like that if its damaged.

Yeah as PGS said, you’ll probably find its in an automatic programme & if it doesn’t sense wet/damp clothes in drum it shuts off heater after a few sec’s. The sensing is measured from the drum paddles (which are insulated) to the drum.
Try testing on the setting that says timed drying. Then heater should be on constant.

Not sure if very fine emery paper would bring it up. The gaps between the segments are critical too.
I’ve seen a glass fibre brush type jobby thing being used on a commercial motor by a rewind firm who were working in a factory where i happened to be also. It worked fantastic, guy could keep it held on motor armature while motor was turning, cleaned it like new.

Working on motor live NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED though 💡

Yeah thats right F51 if it fashes 1 sec on 1 sec off 10 secs after detecting fault & goes to drain it indicates a pressure fault, look for blockage in pressure vessel perhaps.

Set to TIMED DRYING to test.. other cycles are automatic programs & will only heat if they sense wet/dampness in drum

likely to simply be a fill problem, if machine doesn’t fill in time, when circulation pump starts theres isn’t enough water in to make pressure sw’ therefore no heat during wash.

check inlet water filter, pressure sw, circulation pump motor, in that order

circulation pump impeller could have partial blockage

Was it locked by any chance?

Hold down the two buttons marked lock for 5 sec’s to release from memory

Re: Miele WS5425 No go at all

There should be a circuit diagram usually stowed away behind front panel to RHS, near circuit board. The board mentioned sometimes can be at fault too. Circuit diagram should allow you to trace the fault.

Buttons & little board behind them sometimes gives bother too.

Best to post PNC num’ for ‘Lu x machines.
Possible caused by over foaming sensed & machine thinks its in flood condition, go into diagnostics, read & and clear last fault.

Thermostat trouble probably, you’ll see them when you take out the backplate, heater can be dismounted & unplugged from loom and inspected. Elements rarely go though.

What is it you actualy need as your post seems to lack some words or parts of words

Have you followed the circuit diagram inside the appliance to fault find?

Re: Schulthess 6kg filling when finished

Update, 12v solenoids on this machine feed from top board, hot water valve has supply to it all the time (even when machine is finished programme), when all other outputs are taken off board only when front board disconnected, user/display board unconnected will it lose the supply, not certain if its a front board or top board fault. Top board lists at £500 so you can see why i need to be sure.

Wondering if machine can be reprogrammed to fill from cold only as machine is fed only by cold water albeit to two hoses using a Y piece, it obviously defaults when in hot/warm washes when pipe to hot valve isn’t connected..

Whats the name of the company & how much are the parts discounted by?
For instance a common Genuine Miele fridge ‘stat 05317450 list price £57.85 costs me £40.49.

How much is it with them?
