Contact the manufacturers first, explain the product is just over a year old, ask if they will repair it under warranty as its failed completely just out of guarantee. Don’t tell them you’ve opened it or checked anything as warranty will be voided.

Re: Electrolux EWX14540W ERROR CODE ed4

Ed4 fault code refers to :- Relay which commutates power between washing heating element and drying (in the Washer Dryer board) is faulty. Wiring faulty, Washer Dryer board faulty, PCB faulty.

Most times as stated by Martin this down to an earth fault somewhere on the applaince, most often the dryer heater, needs to have components meggered to find problem.

Costing from £100 to £140 for part depending on which product you have, fitting it depends on how competant you are. Its a straight swap over.
You need to have PNC off your own appliance to determine which P.C.B is required for your product..

I’d be checking air path then for blockages etc, make sure fan is not loose on shaft or blocked up. Make sure back cover is on tight & that no air is escaping, also make sure that air intake is clear as these can get blocked up with fluff, dog hair etc.

Just that heater has an NTC & not a thermostat. Some early Beko dryers had similar looking type heater wich had a conventional switch on & off ‘stat. This model requires a heater with an NTC, new type will have a resettable cut-out in place of original one-shot type.
Genuine part number should be 2957500800

You need that & the seal underneath it, not sure if it comes with it.
Make sure its fixed tight into the hole, it may not be seated correctly & so its leaking.

Re: drum won’t spin on Miele professional washer type WS 544

Sounds like its motor related, either that the motor is going out on thermal overload oor that the brushes are worn.
Is it the little giant type semi commercial machine, not sure of that model you quote.

If you do a search on here, I could have swore i’ve seen this issue arise before & someone had sourced a suitable industrial relay that did the job at a decent price.
Relay needs to be double pole as far as i’m aware as machine does self diagnosis at start of cycle & needs to prove circuit of heater.

Have only had to change P.C.Bs on these, but in saying that i’ve not done many, hopefully someone with more experience of them will post.

I’ve worked on one of them recently, not same fault problem but was throwing up a fault code that was tacho problem which I sorted out. There was no reset procedure necessary, when problem solved it worked fine again.

You will find one a lot cheaper than that if you search, maybe Farnell or RS, make sure its the same rating or more.

Its not a t.o.c, its an NTC, comes as part of heater assembly 2970101200 or newer type 2970100900

Mostly there were problems with heater relays on Miele’s, not sure of this particular model, but relays were normally separate to main board.

Re: Zanussi FJS1425W stops mid-cycle for no apparant reason

We all would have encountered problems like this i’m sure, its from my experience that i’ve advised the above.

An E52 error code means there is no feedback received by P.C.B when supply has been on to motor, it can be thrown up for any manner of reasons on these, it can be down to slight earth faults, usually stemming from heater or motor, carbon dust on loom of motor can also cause it. I have even found dust build up on the p.c.b to trigger erroneous faults.
Clean with a dry delicate brush & see if it cures it.
If motor runs & stops after a time, it would seem as theres a motor problem, there could be a bad segment in the armature, it could be going out on thermal overload if motor gets hot or motor connections could be poor, easy solution is to plug in another motor & try it, thats if you have another handy.
    Best of luck with it.
