Rinse led flashing means no motor action, i’d start by checking the motor brushes, back plate that houses brushes comes off motor.
If the motor is o.k & loom/connections are o.k then i’d think about getting a p.c.b.
There should be a schematic diagram in all Miele appliances that will allow you to check/trace cabling from p.c.b to motor.Seamy

Martin wrote:Megger the heater?
As Martin says megger the heater, the dryer heater, if its low it will cause problems.
Not sure of the machine as theres no 4270, but I presume its a ZWD14270W.
The dryer heaters are notorious for causing erronious faults & causing wash programme to stall.
Isolate appliance from power.
After noting wiring positions of cables to dryer element, disconnect them & insulate them.
Try wash programme to see if it runs normally, if it does & goes faulty when cables connected to dryer element you’ve found the fault.Seamy
ParticipantRe: Miele W1512 not performing complete cycles
It may be as you say “is some part confusing the computer?”
I doubt very much if there is a “computer” in the machine even though you paid a lot for it, it is however controlled by an electronic circuit board like most modern machines. Perhaps whats confusing the electronic is the pressure vessel is clogged with crud, which prevents the electronics getting the message that the appliance has emptied. It needs to be cleaned out. Your local appliance engineer should be able to do this.Seamy

I’d be advising her to get the other engineer to put it right.
It would be a help if you could post the product code to get correct wiring diagram.Seamy

Rinse led flashing indicates no motor action. Check brushes.

Just to clarify for anyone else reading the post in future, right that it was float switch or right that it was P.C.B?

ParticipantRe: Daewoo DWD-G1241 switching off
You did’nt see any fault code appear by any chance?
Check the drain pump is not blocked, door may not be locking right either & check you haven’t selected rinse hold by mistake.
Daewoo machines like many electronic control ones now are very prone to unbalanced loads & don’t go to spin if loading is incorrect.Seamy

The clue was provided in the first post, check the heater first.

Would advise that you check the pressure vessel & pressure tubing to sensor for blockages, P.C.B could be at fault either & throw up erroneous fault code.
Ask an Engineer to check it if you are looking for a “knowledgable person”!

Rules say we can’t give manuals to general public, anyhow they are like hens teeth. Where did the assumption “probably a capacitor” come from? Would rather take a punt at the heater being open circuit or down to earth.
To be honest after 20 years service it owes you nothing, perhaps you owe it to have it inspected by a service engineer & to see whats causing the problem & hopefully fixing it & keeping this marvellous machine going on.Immer Besser
