Fans are prone to failure. The rattling you describe could be the fan knocking off ice. The defrost controls may be faulty & the appliance is not automatically defrosting as it should.

Re: Zanussi ZWF12070 Washer Not Heating

The correct model number is ZWF12070W1, i’d try changing the heater first, theres an inbuilt fuse in both legs of the element & they could be going open circuit under load. Depending on which NTC is used they should give approx’ readings of 6400 ohms at 20C it should go down to 600 ohms at 80C, the reading you posted looked right enough.
What fault code did you get on the appliance?

Would suspect its heater problem, they throw up E6? fault codes.

Why not ask the manufacturer if the fascia panel is available as a spare part, with it fitted all the function positions will be visible again.

Have had bad solder dry joints on the on/off p.c.b cause the problem described. Check edge connections also, there should be a circuit diagram in the machine to help you trace supply.

What was the fault that required a P.C.B to be fitted in the first place.

    Re: Miele t430

Yeah, it will do this if it senses high temperature. NTC if faulty could be the source of the problem, but check the ducting & fan for blockages also.

Model number & 10 digit product would be a help, can check the technical website to see if there is a bulletin on the problem.

yes, they’re the sensing brushes, so if they don’t sense (damp clothes) they shut down the heating
