I have a Bosch SGS 5302 GB which is at least four years old. When turned on rather than starting the cycle the diplay shows a ‘1

Sorry APH 🙁 this fault code is normally indicating a faulty electronic control panel cost £78.00 +call out & labour +vat not really a diy repair look in directrories over to the left or use the new repairs@ on front page of this site to locate an independent engineer in your area.

    Hi MrMoose,
please give us the Enr number for your cooker which you will find on the rating plate either on the left hand side trim at the bottom or may be on the botton cross trim in the centre then we can advise you of the cost.
The inner door glass panel comes factory fitted into the inner metal panel

I heard that Bosch used them as well

Advise from Bosch is that if you screw feet right into base of machine and it still waltzes they will refund purchase price and advise customer to purchase a machine from alternative manufacturer??

    Hi rungidung,

The Bosch WTA 3003 tumble dryer is a Crosslee/Whirlpool badged machine. Not German manufacture but is still a reasonable machine

anyone have any suggetions on how to proceed.

In general the manufacturer is not responsable to you to repair the faulty product. Your contract is legally with your supplier, go back to them and insist that they deal with it on your behalf. Do not be fobbed off, IT IS THEIR RESPONSABILITY not the manufacturers, make yourself unpopular with them, talk about compensation for phone calls, loss of wages etc.

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Not Working

Sounds to me that the wash pump has stuck through lack of use, (a common fault with these) smell would be from stalled motor, machine would fill and empty and do nothing else.
Check directories over to the left of this page for an engineer in your post code area

‘Subscription Fee’ is that for many of us it can be ‘offset against tax’ You are advised to regard and log the expenditure as “Advertising” to satisfy the Tax Man though.

You can only do that if you recieve the necassary paperwork, paid year up front in November still not had invoice?

    Mr G wrote,

the dislpay on the front has the wash line on and there is a small red dot that has appeared in the bottom right of the display

This is normally an indication that there is a fault with the electronic control panel. Try pressing the two buttons marked “reset” at the same time, the display should then show ‘O’ and the pump should run, if you cannot reset then the fault is definately in the electronics, not really a diy repair, consult the ‘directories’ listing over to the left of this page to locate an engineer in your postcode area

Just for information, all the latest Bosch free standing and build in washer dryers are rebadged Smeg’s they have the same dancing problem that they cannot resolve to the extent they are giving customers their money back to buy replacement machines of other manufacture

Re: If Installation Fault Charge User

My personal opinion on this is that WPs request us to call on customers on thier behalf and should accept the charge whatever the reason for the call is including BERs.
It is their responsability to weed out the installation faults(we all know what the common ones are) before passing the call to us.
If they then feel the customer or installer should pay THEY should do the invoicing themselves.
