    Re: Homark

I did ask Graham about this but didn’t get a definitive answer.

Graham has said that the rate for repairs will be the same as he is paying at the moment. No expected increase to match the rate paid by Expert, only consulation is that you can usually get technical info and spares easily from Graham which was not my experience with Expert.

Sparkey, the three NR7’s that show on Kevin’s list was you testing so you haven’t lost any work. NR7 missing will be dealt with of course.

Thanks for that Dave, if I get time over the weekend will ‘test’ the other codes for my area “just in case” 😉

Re: Look at what your missing

The following is a record of all the postcodes we missed with our Ejobs system. Quite simply we do not have a repairer registered to pass these CHARGEABLE calls to, please note these are just the DISHWASHER calls….across all types there are nearly 1500 missed opportunities in 2 months.

Found several of my postcodes for Bosch,Neff Seimens appliances in list, did report NR7 not working couple of months ago.

My coverage is All NR postcodes

Re: Bosch KGV3120gb/03 lamp glowing dimly

As Simon 46 say’s the glowing light is an aid to defrosting, it is controlled by an air sensor that measures the ambient temperature of the room and switches on the lamp when the room temperature drops below about 10c.

Re: Faulty 8702 flooded our downstairs flat

Just a general observation regarding water valves passing water when machine is not in use.

This is more likely to happen when water pressure is too LOW or the filling hose is squashed behind the machine, The inlet valve requires sufficient pressure behind the diaphram to hold it closed, too low and it will weep.

It therefore follows that higher pressures will hold the diaphram firmly closed with no weeping posible UNLESS there is something under the seating as previously advised.

Teddy, as it appears that it has iced up several times since your first post in Oct. it sound like a problem with the defrost system, time for an engineer.

any idea which thermistor is the offender the fridge or the freezer.

Both sensors are in the fridge section, the one which fails is the evaporator sensor which tells the electronics when the evaporator has defrosted to end the defrost cycle, the other sensor is for the air temperature.

When you short out the evap. sensor the control panel sets it’self into a timed defrost mode.

There is no temperature control on the freezer side what so ever.

Locate the three pin edge connector for sensors, the sensor wire connected to terminals 1 and 2 shoule be cut off about two inches from plug and joined together effectivly shorting out those terminals on the module. IMPORTANT do not disturb the other sensor wire which is also connected to terminal 1

I know we should never suspect control units as they can be affected by many external problems with the machine, but this one surely makes me think it is.

99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certainty that control unit is faulty, I have replaced them for simular faults in past.

    Re: bosch kgv2604g

    Machineman,

First identify the sensor leads on the module, usually either a three pin or a four pin connector.

If four pin, locate the twin cable connected to terminal 1 & 3 cut off sensor cable about 2in from module and join together effectivly shorting out terminals 1 & 3 on the module connector.

If three pin locate sensor lead connected to terminals 1 & 2 and do as above. TAKE CARE to not disturb the other sensor lead which is also connected to terminal 1.

Terminal numbers are moulded into the white moulding of the connector plug.
