Re: Whirlpool AWM6140/3 can’t select Prog?

    Hi Martin
It is definately the timer and even the SAM won’t cure it. It is not a software fault but a hardware one.
If you have problems getting a timer give me a pm as i have some in stock. The 12 nc of the machine is 857061415330 i do believe because there is only one 6140/3. I will even program it with the SAM for you.

    Hi Iadom,
First spin the drum and check the bearings if all is ok take the kickplate off, (1 screw behind the filter flap) then look thru the bottom to see if the suspension arms are the white ones. If so replace these, if you order some they will be black (new version)

Re: Whirlpool AWZ663 Condenser Dryer – Intermittant bleeping

    Hi Carolanne
The condensation problem on these condenser dryers is that the seal ring which goes around the base of the fan comes loose causing condensation to rise and take the front drum felt off which enhances the condensation. It will look as though it is coming from the door and control panel. It is definately an enginneer job though.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Guys
They also changed the fuse holder on these ones. If it has a black one it needs changing to the clear one which you thread the wire thru first then screw it into a metal end. Then the spring to tension the fuse. Result no more blown fuses.

    Hi Tubs
The machine will not enter the diagnostic cycle. I have tried it a couple of times. I been servicing whirlpool for 10 years and this one is a new one on me. Any ideas?

We have problems with the lead that connects the timer to the module. But that is a no display problem( Whirlpool do not supply these as a part have to get them from the returns) Any way this is usually F11

This machine i am on now does not display any error code

Hope this sheds any light on it

    Hi Dave
No the machine just keeps going but does not do a spin cycle. I know that if there is no motor action on the whirlpool, the door open light comes on and then that is a motor fault.

    Hi AMS
The CL code means that the childlock is activated. If you look at the front panel you will see a lock and the 2 buttons above need holding in to exit the childlock. This will have nothing to do with the IE fault. Just thought i would let you know

Just to let you know the door interlock has been changed. I have not had chance to have a real look at it myself yet. Will have to wait till next week now tho.

    Hi Iadom
Just open the door and look inside the drum and down (basically the outside of the filter). If there are 2 metal strips running across give them a clean with a damp cloth and some washing up liquid to clean them. These are the contacts that sense dryness. They measure in ohms and tell the machine that the clothes are dry when it reaches a certain value( i know they are on the condenser version, not quite sure about the air vent version) i have just had a look and the 2 metal strips are there. This is most definately the fault on the sensed dry

    Hi Dave

There is a note on the tds disc that says they had problems with non configured boards so they did them for you. We always get configured boards now. I think it is a communication error somewhere down the line. Will have to take my laptop to work and work thru this one.

Date code for hoptpoint beginning 78. It was made in June 2000.
It is still under 5 years old but you will need to provide a receipt as you might of got it 2nd hand or something like that.
