    Re: Connect Prices

Just bought a module for a Servis FF from connect which turned out to be incorrect. So while serching around i found the same module on a couple of their retail sites they run ie Currys and B+Q. I paid trade £76:52 incl carrage and VAT, yet they are selling it retail for £74:97 including carrage and VAT. Phoned them and they got rep to call me who “could not understand how this had happened” and would get back to me. Still waiting his explenation.

Been back to this machine and it has blown the cut out stat again!
Why would it do this? The water level is ok.
Not sure how the heating control functions on this machine but you have a resettable stat that operates at 78o and a non at 90o. There is also an ntc which checks out ok ( although not sure if values are in range) could it be this? This machine is the same as a baumatic one ive come accross before, Chinese i think.

    Anyone?

    Re: Amica Warranty

Its strange there is no info for the customer to contact in case of fault under warranty supplied with machine.
BDC sent me a nice catalogue with a nice range of washing machines and cookers etc with a handy seperate price sheet, but they have been out of stock of everything i have tried to order.

    Thanks

Yes it is the circulation fan i mean and the element does come on without any power to the fan. I thought the control unit looked expensive.

    Thanks

Intermittent supply to motor could be dry joint on relay.

    Re: Bosch WFL2450

After going back to this machine and changing brushes, cleaning motor, checking wires and a lot of head scratching i have discovered that the fault only actually accurs on the first selected programme, which is 30o cotton. After extensive testing on all other programmes including spin it never switches back to start. The strange thing is, it definately has something to do with the motor because it does it just before the motor is about to turn, ie drum tumbles, pause, tumbles, pause then cuts to start. It was on this programme when it origionally stopped. When i checked the brushes one of them was worn right down so you could see the copper wire through the surface of the brush. I wonder if this has damaged something on the board on that programme? Not sure, its a bit strange. Anyway customer is happy to put up with not using that programme as new board is £260.

Whet back to this machine and checked thermister/connections and thought “nothing wrong with this”. Re-checked everything again, put it back together and its now working, so i think it may have been a bad connection on thermister.

    Thanks

Its probably the freezer temp too high warning. Will need investigating as to why i guess.

    Re: whirlpool dishwasher fault code

Its the water indicator. Located in the sump at about 3 o’clock. A diaphram that operates a micro switch at set water pressure i believe.
