Re: Bosch Fridge Freezer KGV31421GB/01 Fridge not chilling

There would only be evidence of oil around the leak if it was on a visible part of the pipe work for example where the pipes join the compressor. More often than not i come across fridges with a loss of gas with no visual evidence at all because the leak is on the pipe work that runs through the frame of the fridge within the foam insulation. Sometimes the leak is so small it can take months for the gas to leak out enough to have an effect on the function of the fridge. Thats why from what you describe i would say that the leak was there when you bought it. There is a slim chance you have a partial blockage in the fridge evaporator so you can try turning it off for a day or two but if its still the same then its time to call an engineer or your e-bay seller.

Re: Service MO330W Frost Free Fridge Freezer – Fridge not co

The block of ice you describe at the bottom of the coils is usually caused by the drain hole for the melted frost being blocked. The water is unable to drain away to the tray on the compressor and so freezes and builds up over time. Clear the drain hole with a pipe cleaner or the like to stop it reaccuring.

Re: Bosch Fridge Freezer KGV31421GB/01 Fridge not chilling

It seems as though it may be short of gas. This is why the fridge is not getting cold enough and the compressor is continuasly running as the thermostat in the fridge is waiting for the fridge to get down to tempreture before it cuts out the compressor. It means there must be a leak in the system somewhere. Could have happened in transit but more likely it was already there. You would need an engineer to find and repair the leak (not always possible) and re-gass. After what you already paid for it, it may not be worth the cost.

Strange, my work hasn’t picked up since we had the snow. Got so bad that this week ive been fitting bathrooms with my brother. Typical though, as soon as im tied up doing that i start getting loads of calls for jobs that need doing yesterday.

I bought 10 cheap stats from a supplier fitted 6 got 4 call backs so binned the rest and now only use the Ranco ones. Worth the couple of extra quid.

The machine is in a guest house so the warranty would be void due to commercial use(the customer pointed this out to me when i mentioned the warranty). This is also why the brushes were completely worn out after just 18 months. How do i enter the test mode? Will the module be knackered too possibly?

    Thanks

    Re: Hoover HCA391FFK F/F

    Hi
Just going by memory of the instruction sheet for these boards ,i deduced(i think thats a word) that a ventilator meant that the fridge was cooled by air fom the freezer as apposed to being a cold wall type. A combi unit just meaning that it is a fridgefreezer as apposed to a fridge or freezer(i think) Top mount unit i dont know. All the boards ive fitted of this type i never had to do anything with the tabs.
