    Re: Zanussi WJS1265W Tacho problem

The first time i went there if i remember rightly when i put it on spin it would tumble as if it was getting ready to ramp up and then whip suddenly up to spin and back to tumble and do this continuasly and the timer would not count down. After i cleaned motor tacho contacts it ramped up to spin normally and counter counted down as noramal. Im not too sure what the machine is doing now as the customer is an old boy and a bit vague but seemed to say that it was bashing about a bit.

    Re: Neff Dishwasher Problem

    Hi Chris

I did replace the pump and also tried to wash out the gunge in the air break system although it didn’t clear much.
At the top of the air break is an air hole, if i block one of the two outlet holes at the other end and blow up the other no air at all escapes out the air hole. Im curious to know if this is right or not. I don’t want to have to order an an air break system if it don’t solve the problem (although i can’t see what else it could be).

    Thanks

    Hi Smartin
Lol! I explained the “double whammy” possibility to the customer when i spoke to him on the phone. Dont know what the problem is, it was the landlord who called after being told by tennants its not working.

Ive been getting quite a few calls now on MFI and servis stuff still under warranty, but have been blowing them out asuming the parts would not be available.

    Re: Hotpoint WD860

    Went to this machine today.
Machine has a bit of water in it (customer had bailed rest out).
The dimly lit display (cus says its always been that way since they moved in)shows 001. Turn machine on at plug on/off button lights up. Close door and machine locks and starts ramping up to spin all by itself without pumping out the little bit of water that is left in it. Pressing stop or cancel does nothing just bleeps. No buttons work at all. After machine finishes spinning it just tumbles. Screen still shows 001 and on button still lit but cannot turn off or cancel. If you turn off and on again from plug it does same again. Checked every thing, plus removed both boards and tightened everything up.The question is display board or main board or both?

    Thanks

    Thanks for reply Eastlmark.

Just to familiarise myself with the basic workings of this machine before i go back and have another look.

Does the wash motor pump out the water too, if not where is the outlet pump?

Where is the water heater, is it behind the door facia and is there one for each drawer?

    Thanks

    Re: whirlpool fridge freezer

Just a thought. Have you checked the condenser is clear of dirt and fluff and the condenser fan is running properly. If the fan isnt running the compresser can over heat and the toc will cut the compresser, it will kick back on again when the compresser cools. Ive had this problem a few times.
