ParticipantRe: CDA WC130 (Whirlpool) Dishwasher strange fault.
Amazing!
Blocked spray arms was causing this fault.
Went back to this dishwasher armed with the info you guys gave me with a little bit of wishful thinking after Simons comment, because I remembered the spray arms being pretty blocked, but didn’t think that could cause this fault as usually you just get no rotation of arms and bad wash results. Cleaned them out and running fine now.
Would be interested to know how it knows the water isn’t flowing correctly. Thanks again

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher SMS40A08GB E45 Error
Hi Simon26r, thanks for the reply.
I’d found the fault codes you directed me to but it doesn’t list E45.
Were you pointing out the fact that it’s the PC Board and only Bosch can configure them? If so I’ll let the customer know. Thanks

ParticipantRe: Stoves Oven Timer Clock Cutting Out
Thanks Steve.
I did know about bypassing the clock relay, but hadn’t thought about doing it temperaraly to confirm its the clock and not some other intermittant electrical problem. I’ll give it a go.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint D/Washer FDUD4812 new heater blown.
Thanks for reply.
Wash pump is ok but the filter was pretty gunged up with fat. Can something like that cause it to blow?
Funny thing is, I’ve just been to another one of these dishwashers and the wash motor has gone yet its still been heating the water (customer was still trying to use it) but hadn’t blown the heater.
Interested to hear how others would deal with this?
Just fit a new heater after cleaning the filter and advise customer to keep it clean and then keep fingers crossed?
Or
Tell customer it’s their fault and charge them to fit a new heater? Thanks

ParticipantRe: whirlpool ADG7470/1 8 flashes
Had the same problem with one of these last month and there has been a few posts on here as well as my own with this same problem. Unfortunately no one has come up with an answer. So after double checking everything (as you say there is no water indicator on these) just a replaceable reed switch, I’m taking the plunge and replacing the Pcb. My customer who’s a friend is on holiday for a week so am waiting for his return to fit the board. Although I’m a little doubtful it’s the board now as it seems to be a common problem.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMF740 inlet valve (extended piece)?
Thanks guys. I think ive found what I need.
The original part is the dispenser unit with the extended valve and is now obsolete. On connect its 5045170964788. They’ve replaced it with this 504517333206 which
is I guess a longer dispenser unit and standard valve. Plus a new back plate is required. Thanks

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG7560/2 just keeps pumping out.
Ok so been back to this machine and reed switch is ok. It doesn’t even start to let water in. Just continues on the pump out for about 2 minutes and then stops with 8 flashes. I’ve checked everything, valves, pump, heater, no broken wires in door etc (this machine is only 2 years old and everything looks new and clean), double checked all connections including on Pc board and checked board for damage but nothing.
Anyone got any ideas before I decide wether to gamble with a board? Thanks

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG7560/2 just keeps pumping out.
Thanks for the help Anthony.
Thinking about it now, I realise it probably is the reed switch as I was confusing the error code with “draining failure” which is 4 flashes. I have “water level failure”.
I carry the reed switches on the van and have replaced many. I think the knack is to get it in the exact same position when soldering it in, and then i test it with a magnet. Thanks again

ParticipantRe: Tecnik Oven Timer TKC8525/2
Apparently BSH just serviced this one but did not make it and have no parts.
I’m pretty sure it’s a Stoves.
Connect does not show anything for this model number but when looking at Stove timers these ones I’m sure look identical to what I have.
