    Re: crack in hob

sorry to resurect an old thread but called out today to an old creda solarglo ceramic hob and a simmerstat was faulty so i changed it.
tried all the plates and it all worked ok.
5 hours later customer leaves a message for me saying 5 minutes after i left the glass smashed.
I havent phoned back yet as i was hoping for some inspiration
    or a place to hide.

    hi,
there was no water in the base, it fills and washes
but after a while the lights start flashing,
do you have a list of fault codes?

hole in pressure switch tube perhaps,
i believe you have to take the bezel off before the
    front comes off.

the fault codes are the same,
you should always check the heater and thermistors
    on these, does it pump?

    Re: SERVIS M6815W

when you check the motor plug there will be 2 wires which do not have a reading between them and any other wires these 2 wires go to the toc if all wires have a reading then the toc is ok its normally 2 wires in the middle of the plug nos 4 and 5.

    Re: SERVIS M6815W

the motor has a built in toc which can go open circuit,
if you have metered the motor you will be able to check it.
    if not its the pcb.
