these machine are bad for the pressure switch tube rubbing on the top edge of the tub where it is fixed to the tub clips with a small tie wrap.

its probably the door lock or the capacitor, i changed a door lock on a similair model yesterday it had a solenoid built into the door interlock which was buzzing when the start button was pressed.
i am sure you will now how to check if the capacitor is faulty. i just normally stick another one on to check it.

    Re: customer wont pay

can anyone suggest how i can get a customer to pay me for repairing a washing machine. its £60 i have sent her a reminder called to her door sent a letter informing her i was going to get a debt collector onto her and still she has not paid.
in the past i have written off a lot of debts but i am drawing a line in the sand no more.
    suggestions gratefully received thanks.

    DW45…………

    Penguin45.
i did not know that i have never seen one.
i can only hope it was made to a better spec than the haier, i have come across a few haier and they are trully terrible the door springs stretch, the baskets fall into pieces, when you get a new basket its in bits and is impossible to assemble, the leak and the edges of the cabinet are as sharp as a razor.
i dont even bother trying to fix them now they are a waste of time.

Re: Hoover se220 – not spinning (and now a slight burning sm

if you are changing the brushes plug out first take the back off then take the motor off,
if there is a burning smell there is burning wether it is ok at30-40 degrees.
if it was the motor there would be a burning smell all the time.
    check the timer.
if the motor is turning the brushes are ok.

    plug out first,
it sounds like a timer fault to me, if you have the ability to take it off look for burnt soldered joints or tracks, they can sometimes be resoldered,
i would suggest it would be worth calling out an engineer if you are unsure, do not use the machine until you have checked it they dont tend to go on fire but you would be better being safe,
ask someone ballpark price for replacing the timer, reconditioned timers are available for these machines at reasonable prices.

if you do change the board and pump remember to change that hose as well.
    obviously with the plug out.

Re: Hoover 1300 Special Edition PE235 drain pump siezed ?

the board is gone that burnt thing is a triac, some engineers replace them but i always change the board, that black rubber is where the hose is rubbing on the tub it will be leaking from there down onto the pump,
how old is the machine? it is covered by a 5 year parts guarantee, you pay for the callout but not for the parts, it would cost about £90 for the callout which would be less than the price of the parts.

    plug out please,
the program should still start even if the pump wont turn (assuming the pump is jammed by a foreign object)
if the pump coil is damaged by water dripping onto it from the hose going from soap dispenser to the pump filter then it can seize the pump,
however changing the pump is fairly easy but you will have to check for leaks, and if the old pump is badly rusted it may have damaged the pcb.

Re: Hoover Six 1300 Sportswear AL130 – Error Number 2

yes the impellor (green cross thing) should turn all through the spin cycle.
it will need a new pump but if the pump is badly rusted you will need to check for a leak in the hose going from the bottom of the soap dispenser to the pump filter, in extreme cases pumps being badly leaked on can damage the main pcb.
