Re: Hoover Six 1300 Sportswear AL130 – Error Number 2

i had just thought maybe if the pump is faulty (usually from water dripping onto it from the hose going from soap dispenser to pump filter) it wont fill.
assuming when poster says spinning but not rinsing meant that it would spin if empty but not emptying.
like when you ask a customer did it empty and they say yes, you fill it up with water put it to spin and it doesnt empty.
customer says thats right it didnt empty we dropped the drain hose out the back door?????

it could be a pump fault.

check the soldering on the side of the timer, it sounds like a timer fault,
i didnt know anyone here bothered trying to fix hoover machines.
oh do i need to say plug out.

ok heres the reply in public
allowing anyone to owe you £18000 is bad business practice, i have never binned any stock ever, you never know when it will come in handy,
i remember when my dad retired i wanted to bin a keyplate timer, the first week i used that part.
i have no interest in cookers or fridges i would never do any work for hoover.
if you are going to let past problems blinker you then my father was aircrew during the war, lest we forget.

I know you’re an Hoover service agent, but you really do seem to have an obsession with them.

I work for one of the large retailers and we get more issues with them than Bosch, Zanussi and Beko (yes, Beko!), about the same amount as Indesit and Hotpoint.

    They’re not all that cracking.
i am not a hoover service agent i am an authorised hoover engineer.
come out into the real world and you will find that beko is the worst washing machine ever made, i think i have only managed to repair two, normally the front concrete weight shears the bolts off irrepairable, the motors go on fire irrepairable, the timers move off the program you set it to from new, and the customers dont even know they are faulty.
the bosch parts are getting so expensive you cant change a pcb, motor or timer.
i went to a bosch recently the timer knob was broken i had to buy a complete facia to fix it.
the new zanussis when the pcb goes the new ones have to be reconfigured an almost impossible job, if any component goes on the zanussi it takes the pcb with it.
i never said hoover was a british company but they still manufacture in the uk, does bosch or zanussi.
i never even mentioned that they are by appointment to her majesty, but if you want to tell her shes wrong i am sure you know her address.
hoover are value for money WHO BETTER as they used to say.

free yes thats about what its worth, surprises me though that the man who slags off hoover actually has a hoover, dont bother with the instruction book it will have broken down before you get to the end of it.

i had to remove a condom from a machine recently the parents had been away on holiday when the machine broke down, i couldnt bring myself to tell them what the problem was.
the most upsetting part of the job was that the condom obviously was used as it wasnt in its wrapper and i was fiddling about with my fingers before i knew what it was, it dint seem to matter how often i washed my hands.

oh sorry welcome to the anti british manufacturers website another unhelpful comment, i wonder why people come here for advice why dont we just set up an automated reply system “buy bosch”.
is it any surprise very few things are manufactured in britain.
i am sure when they close down land rover and jaguar you will be saying “isnt that terrible” well its time we got behind british industry and stopped supporting the germans or should i say the polish and spanish in bosches case.
