definately the door lock is faulty, but it would be a good idea to take the lid off and see if the 2 top springs are still attached. to check the suspension the concrete weight on the top of the drum should be concentric with the cabinet, also if you push down on the concrete weight it should come back up when released.

    plug out of course.

Re: Can you recommend me a new washing machine?

compare the cost of a siemens motor to that of a hoover, i can put a new motor on a hoover machine cheaply but i could sell a hoover machine for the cost of a siemens motor.
once again lets knock british and wonder why the factories are shut,
do you think germanwhitegoods.de are promoting anything but german ,of course bosch are now being manufactured in china.

Re: Can you recommend me a new washing machine?

i always recommend hoover they do 6, 7, and 8kg machines all come with a 5 year parts guarantee.
the slowest spin speed is 1200.
alot cheaper than any of the german machines and alot cheaper and easier to fix.

type bosch in the search engine 2387 topics, type hoover 1111 topics,
this would either mean there are more faulty bosch appliances than hoover or bosch are more difficult to repair

Re: Test Procedure for a Hotpoint WMA63 Needed

if the motor spins at wash it is normally a tacho coil fault it may be a bad connection at the motor plug i had the same problem with this model before and wrongly changed the pcb which didnt fix it then checked the motor and there was no circuit through the tacho coil.

chaffed wiring is the most likely where the wiring from the motor is fixed to the cabinet with a tyrap is very common place for chaffing.

Re: Taurus Proxima Washing Machine – Bearing Housing Sheared

200603 is code for machines manufactured in week 3 of 2006.
it may still be under warranty though it would be worth finding a receipt or going back to where you purchased it.
taurus parts are almost impossible to get hold off.

http://www.sparecentre.com were advertising hotpoint twin tub tripod kits in stock i tried to speak to some one int there joke technical department to no avail,i was told if they said they were in stock on the internet then they were in stock, i was desperate and ordered 2.
they were quick enough debiting my credit card, but suprise surprise after chasing them for weeks they are obsolete.
this is a terrible way to run a business and i would advise anyone to stay away from this company,
i am sorry if i have oversteped the mark if i have would one of the moderators remove my message.

    Re: zanussi fla 1201w overfilling

good point, but it would mean either 2 trips or keeping a manifold in stock.
the manifold was nice and clean when i had finished and i informed the customer of the problems with liquid soap and soap bubbles.
this is an increasing problem with machines, people regularly phone me with a complaint of smelly washing machines which never happened in the past.
people always assume that new and improved is new and improved when it is normally more expensive and worse.
