Re: Siemens HB86K570B interior glass shattered

Most definately is a build up of grease around frame and glass. 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of shattered combi door glass is caused by this.

Grease attracts microwaves and causes hot spot. Only other thing would be enamel chipped on door frame.

These have a horrible habit of leaking from the hose that connects the condenser to the tank.

Word of warning, it’s a nasty job

What’s the largest amount you have been paid for a single appliance repair?
Come on, don’t be shy! I know you can beat this. 8)

What did you do to it?

Bet you were after a write off πŸ˜‰

Pre wash light is fault indicator.

how many times it flashes, tells what is wrong with m/c.

    Easy peasy one handed job.

tilt forward to about 45 degrees, use knee or any other part of the body to support.
remove bolts, prise away from mounts with flat blade screwy, catch motor with other hand. Bish bosh 10 mins later one changed motor.

Wait til you see the new wfd motor!!!!

If you can hear lots of clicking from m/c, then most certainly changeover motor on heater.
