    Re: Hoover 1500 HSP 15 not starting….

When you press start does the red light move to the wash symbol phase or does it stay on stop & flashes?

If it doesn’t move then did you remove the ribbon cable to or from the fascia module as you can connect these upside down…

    Re: HJA3200 Unusal fault?

I don’ t think its your responsibility to look into the consumer unit issue.
(Unless of course your a qualified electrician.)

The cooker is quite often not wired into the RCD side of things so that is why it still runs even though the RCD for the lights has tripped.
There may have always been a bit of dodgy wiring going on in there but has never revealed itself.
I would change the element & see if that sorts the problem but still advise the customer to get the consumer unit checked out…

Is the gap between the drum wide enough to get a magnetic screwdriver bit through it?

    Tape a magnetic bit (Very securely) onto a ty-wrap & go fishing…

I have had success with that & also carefully bending the lip of the drum up with some swan necks, but make sure you advise the customer first of the risks…

Was the element bracket at the bottom missing?

I did a job for Minerva a few months back still no payment & no other jobs.
I normally would say no to companies just phoning out of the blue but took this on due to the links with the WTA.
    Are there issues?

As you’ve already stated you thought it may be something you’ve done wrong in reassembly.
Hinges can’t suddenly get play in them…

Doubt its the seal as the door is loose on the hinges.
The hinges have one screw longer on top & bottom hinge that screws into the inner plastic frame. Is that the case?

Probably an insulation fault on the dryer element.

The valve not being energised straight away is probably normal.
Have they tried the dryer since you reset it?

Is there a problem with it not activating the valve?
The valve may not be activated all the time…
If it’s now blowing & heating what’s wrong?
