    it isn’t obvious though.

Please tell me where you press them. 😉

I am generally focusing the ISE2 sales towards the older customer. To some, finding the correct width of plastic and utilising it in the correct way will cause another headache.

I was thinking about modifying, snipping a lug or two, to make it easier to remove. If it goes wrong is it a pain to obtain replacement kickplates?

(And I know that some people will then complain that the kickplate unclips when they catch their foot on it.)

Sorry for what seems such a trivial matter but I seem to have some of the fussiest customers going.

Do a search using BFI620. Might point you in the right direction. 😉

Take the extra time to check the drum shaft and bearing are ok. If they are a drop of oil wouldn’t go amiss.

The dispensers are prone to leaking. Split the two halves, silicone seal it and let it cure before testing. should do the trick.

if its a two half outer tub check lower tub bolts are tight.

Dispenser relay’s are a common fault with blowing boards/triacs as are water point motors attached to heater boxes!

Martin wrote this a few posts down from yours.

Did you have to wire change, configure the new board???

I wouldn’t have thought the motors were interchangeable. (Different part numbers for motors on WMA range to WF/WD range). I think you would be a bit short on the motor loom as well.

How much is the work he gives you worth???

If the not doing the job could lose you a good income you could just say that because of the high repair cost you quoted the lady she has decided to buy a new machine.

Or you could repair the machine at your normal rate and give him his cut and get your cut back from him on other jobs. (Tell him also you will only do this as a one off.)

Where abouts is the level of water in relation to the door seal?

On that model I would say the water should be about an inch below the lip of the drum.

Re: Bosch SGS 3062GB/02 detergent compartment does not stay

Looking at it it appears to me that I need to remove the inner stainless lining of the door (are these Torx screws?) to find the fixings for the container. Is this a straighforward job?

Yes you will need a torx screwdriver bit to undo the screws.

Once you get the door off you will see the fixings for the dispenser.

Unplug the machine if you attempt this as the wiring behind the door is live!!!!

You can get that code when the dryers condenser gets blocked up with fluff. The condenser is not that easy to get to.

Unplug the machine if you investigate further!!!!

    From an ISE2 post…

Budget machine – remove blue sellotape, leave the rest…….

    😉

I got some great sticky stuff remover from homespare the other day.
Took off the sticky residue no problem.

    Re: hoover AE130-001 control fault?

The three bars stay there even when there is no load in the machine to soak up any water.

It can still take a long time for the time to come up on the display even when empty.

I remember when I was selling these I was concerned how long it took for the display to come up.

Anyway if it still hangs on the cycle and the cycle is taking too long then it can only be the control unit at fault.

(As you say you’ve checked everything else)
