    Re: hoover AE130-001 control fault?

The three bars is the machine assessing the load / cycle. It does take along time for the correct time to appear on the wash cycles. (10 to 15 mins is not unusual).

Now that you’ve managed to reset the cycle have you tried running a wash cycle. There’s a good chance it will work.

The previous fault, long wash time, may have just been a blip.

    Re: Bosch module 489607

    Cheers Greg.

Having read various posts before ordering the module. I asked the spares dpt at bosch about config details and they said all necessary info will be in the box. First time I’ve changed one of these modules so had to trust what they said. 🙁

    Anyway rant over. 🙂

    Spoke too soon….

    (Bosch SGS5362gb/01 FD8108400711)

When I left this machine I tested it on a quick wash. Since then the customer has only used the auto programme.
The customer is saying the machine will now only let her select the auto programme.

I have just asked her to unplug and plug back in the machine. She can now select all programmes except intensive.

I carried out the wiring change and set up ‘no sicasym’ zero on display.

No other config details were in with the module. should there have been?

    cheers.

Just tried europart and their trade price is £121. That makes connect look cheap at £72!!!!

    Cheers Jim for your time.

The machines got a brushless motor if that makes any difference.

Connect are showing the modules srp £123 and the eeprpm srp £25.

    Is this about right????

    Thanks again.

Module fitted and configured. All running well.

(Module required due to no power to heater).

I wish I hadn’t bothered with this thread now, everyone seems to think I’m either clueless or making up fairy tales I just thought it might save someone from blowing up a module by plugging in the interlock wrong but to hell with the lot of you.

Unfortunately I feel that some members on this site are only concerned with ‘one-upmanship’.

I value your comments as I’m sure many others do.

    P.S

The thermistor can be checked and tested with the machine unplugged!

Re: No dryer heat on Hotpoint WD640

How long did you test for voltage for on the heater?
It can take quite a while for the the dryer to reach temperature before the power is switched off to the element!!!

The resistance of the thermistor will alter with temperature. The resistance will be in Kohms and will go down with an increase in temperature.

Re: One piece welded tub seized solid!

I’ll stick to the models I’m selling at the mo then. I will let you know when they change. 😉
It would still be interesting to know what models are having that tub fitted. Then I can steer away from them while I can.

The models I get are still coming from Merthyr. (Apparently).

I will still stick to Hoover as you can at least get the tub changed under the 5 year parts cover. Which in turn keeps a machine going for longer than one thats scrapped after the years guarantees up!!!

    Re: ISE10 dryer

Excellent. I will stop tapping at the bulb and secretly sticking my head in the dryers from now on. 😆

I know….I’m a fussy b****r. I blame my apprentice master!!! I can still see him walking around with a micrometer in one hand and the other hand pointing to the scrap bin. (And that was 18 years ago) I think I need therapy. 🙁
