    Re: ISE10 dryer

    Thanks for fast response!!!!

Lamp holder cover? does that mean there is a lamp in there???

If there is a lamp when should it operate?

(I assumed it should operate when the machine is switched on and the door is open. The one I did today I even allowed an Iron Dry cycle to END but still no light comes on).

    Cheers.

Re: One piece welded tub seized solid!

Well not really Tim as the later ones are fully sealed as no doubt you’ll find out soon enough.

Models HNL7166 and HNWL7166 are my stocked machines and are the latest models. They are stilling coming fresh off the production line with split-able tubs.

What Hoover models have got the sealed tubs?

Re: One piece welded tub seized solid!

Hoovers outer tubs are still split-able.

What percentage of our work is from changing bearings / removing socks??? Not much I would think???

I think the angle should be more on how long the bearings last not whether you can change them or retrieve the odd sock!!

Re: Hoover AA230 washer won’t spin after new carbons

Normally if its a relay problem on the module you will loose clockwise and/ or anti-clockwise drum rotation on the wash.

Therefore if you have clockwise and anti-clockwise on the wash I would say module is ok.

As already stated heater insulation low or blocked pressure system could be the issue here.

Re: Hoover Performa 1100 WA 110-001 Washer/Drier Control Dia

In the morning give Hoover a call, 01204 556111, and they will advise you whether the part is available or not.

If it is do as previously mentioned.

Sorry for any anguish caused. I just can’t see what other advice you could of been given.

Timer control KNOB is the same as the programme dial.

Where I wrote ‘timer control knob’ insert ‘programme dial.’

Where I wrote ‘knob’ insert ‘control dial.’

Whatever you want to call it the result can still be the same!!!!

(Wheres a dentist when you need one???????)

The timer control knob still looks like its available so you could order the new one from Hoover and see if you can allign and mark you old knob with a permanent pen the programmes you want.

Or get the knob from Hoover and call a local repairer in to change it.

    Re: Bosch module 489607

    Clarification please;

    Bosch SGS5362gb/01 FD8108400711

I have got to change the module on this machine. Bosch have included the instruction sheet.

As my machine is a /01 does this mean I have to carry out the wiring change? (They say appliances up to KI12)

If Yes is the change to cut wire number 5 and splice it directly to wire number 7?

Also, is ‘HS’ the on/off switch?

    Thankyou in advance.

Getting a number of sealed units with failed bearings at the one year stage. The ones i’ve seen have been with 5 plus people in the family though.

    Re: Kitchons.com

They are along side me in the yellow pages. Tried ringing yesterday and today to see if I can get a price on changing some carbon brushes on my WM52. 😉

Call keeps going to an answerphone.

I also wanted to see if I can book a 6am call for Saturday. 😉

What poor b***er will cover that slot for them??????

    They advertise Mon to Sat 6am – 8pm. 😯

    Re: Beko 1715s

    I found this reset procedure;

Turn power button off (not at wall)
    Select 90 degree wash
Press Start and Cancel button down at same time for 3 seconds and turn power button on whilst still holding buttons down – Start light will flash.
    Leave power on.
    Select any Spin position.
Press Start and Cancel button at same time again for 3 seconds – other buttons may start to flash – if they do, press Start and Cancel button together again for 3 seconds.
Machine should be re-set ready for use.

also check carbon brushes are ok.

I would change motor capacitor while your there. Also check to see if the machine is stopping on its own intermittantly, if it is change start relay!
