Re: Hoover WDM 120-01 dryer timer?

Are you sure the dryer timer knob hasn’t slipped out of allignment?

Also this type of machine always carries on the tumbling phase for a good 5 minutes even when the dryer timer has reached zero minutes.

the customer may be assuming its still heating?

Re: Hoover HNC 170 Heater Change?

I can’t see a problem with inline splicing these heaters. hotpoint supplied connectors with their thermostat kits.

Drum out job is not so bad. (drums are better than they were.) While you’ve got the drum out lubricate pulleys and rear bearing as this will save a re-call when customer phones with squeaking machine.

Heater change and full strip down can be done in an 1 -1.5 hours.

Re: Hoover HNC 170 Heater Change?

On the condenser models they sometimes prevent you from getting enough slack on the wires to disconnect the heater. I had a tc50 last week where i could just manage it. On another condenser dryer i cut and inline spliced the wires and protected with the heat resistant sleeve.

I thought this was easier than a drum out job.

whats the “motor pcb” for at the bottom front of the machine if the motor plugs directly into the operating module??
