    [quoteYes, insulation has been checked.]

Directly on the elements rather than on the 13 amp plug?

Did you happen to insulation test the dryer elements as they are a weak point on a lot of these washer dryers & can cause strange errors if the insulation is remotely low…

    Re: February 2016 Conference

Sorry, my post was a bit tongue in cheek, it was more the case of there are bigger issues to worry about in this Industry rather than Alice Beer coming to the conference and discussing dryer recalls. I know its exciting and some people get a buzz from it but really.
I don’t believe Indesit do make a loss on drum changes as I’m sure tubs aren’t that dear. Before we know it the whole Industry will be controlled by longer warranties and dearer spares.

I would just throw an all in 1 tablet in the cutlery basket. You should get a perfectly good wash.
Its best not to have salt or rinse aid in the machine as the tablet has all you need.

Out of interest, did anyone raise the issue of manufacturers pricing structure of spare parts, in relation to how they can offer, in example, drum replacements for £90 all in when we cant even purchase the drum for that…
I know that this may not be Alices’ beef but she may know who is the best body to raise the issue too?

Could be a brush fault, but how you describe it is generally a timer unit fault. Brushes are available but if the lengths are ok (check first) then I would be changing the timer.

Worth the pain though. Thank goodness for integrated appliances. Plus you can still make a double labour on new ones!

Change the heater, make sure it’s genuine one with ntc.

    Re: hoover dishwashers.

I would suggest looking at the safety switch which is next to the heater on the underneath of the dishwasher, its operates the heater when the water pressure is correct.(assuming the motor is running ok) Other than the relay on the module. The heaters are very reliable on this style of dishwasher.

Normally E08 for brush faults on that model.
E07 can be door lock issues or a weird module fault.

E08 is no motor circuit. 9 times out of 10 just brushes. Careful who is suggesting you change the motor as they probably have one for sale…

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

The presenter of the local radio consumer program mentioned the other day he had the mod done on his dryer which upon using it the dryer leaked all the condensed water on his floor, apparently they are giving him a new dryer…
