You can access it just by removing the front air inlet grate.
Remove the fan & fan cowl too.

Pretty straightforward when you’ve done half a dozen.

No good if you’ve got fat forearms!!

The drawer is fine, the final push closed is how it is designed.

These newer Bosch are very sensitive to oversudsing so get the user to reduce the amount by at leat a third.

Can be caused by a faulty heating element as well as the pressure switches.

    It’s a twist fit.

Suck out every drop of water from the dishwasher.

    Lay it on its back.

    Disconnect door strings.

    Pull the base unit down.
Then remove the sump unit with the heat pump, pump & distributor still attached.

I would change the sump at the same time as they do warp slightl anyhow causing slight leaks.

I would allow 1 1/2 hours to do with testing…

I’ve seen a couple of these & im sure you will be able to do it without taking the front panel off. Just like you would on the latest Hotpoint’s etc.
The lower panel comes off to give you access to pump & heater. It’s quite good access with that panel off.

You may have just pulled the hose too hard rather than it’s broken. Common for people to do that.

I can’t answer why it was dead prior to that mind.

The few of this model I have seen that were dead have all been the main module.

The control knobs crack easily on these so sometimes the control knob turns but isn’t actually gripping the shaft of the selector…

    Re: Miele G5141 Dishwasher

You will normally find a bit of plastic or jam jar label stuck in the circulation motor.

    Not too bad a job.

    Lay on its side.
    Base off.

Careful with the hoses as you don’t want to damage them.
I find these easier to do than most.

Charge well though as Miele would probably quote f
    £150 – £200.

Looks the same as the ones I’ve fitted.
It’s worth haggling a bit with the price too…
