Thats definitely the correct part number for that model.
Are you sure the one you’ve got hasn’t been bagged up wrong?

I just can’t stand watching all of the ‘reality’ drivel the missus watches on the telly.

Maybe she wouldn’t watch it if you weren’t on here!
(She paid me to say that.) 😉

    Ive just searched f17;

Its valve problems, time-out on fill. Probably open circuit dryer valve?
    Condenser Blockage?

Normally you would see one of the chips blown on the board. You have to look very closely, and you will see a chip in the chip.

The cause is normally the divertor / heater.

Had a chap phone Saturday 1pm, pleading poverty. Can you repair the machine this afternoon and invoice my landlord for the money. Ive got no money until the Tax credit comes in on Tuesday.

I said I can’t make it until Tuesday anyway, plus you will have to pay me and get the money back of your Landlord!

He then says, ‘Do you take US dollars?’
    I say, ‘No.’

He says’ Ive got loads of US dollars as Im going to America for two weeks.’

He dosen’t know the meaning of poverty!! Waster!!

    (Never did get the job.)

    859 on Ins

If thats 859 ohms rather than 859 million ohms then I would suggest you change the heater. Any ready less than 5 million ohms on these machines can throw things out.

    Re: Loose Bearing Insert

I would have been tempted to give it a go by drilling holes around the periphery from the back and inserting bolts or long self tappers.

Ive tried this on two occasions, unfortunately it dosen’t hold out.

    😥

Re: VAT Rise – Good News?

had a couple of comments over my vat inclusive rate now being £70.80 as opposed to last week when it was £69.33 which drew no comments or intakes of breath.

I know… My normal Labour charge was £42 plus the VAT.
For now I’ve put it down to £41 plus VAT just to keep it under £50 total.

I will see how it goes… I will have to counteract it by a pound extra here or there on parts and also not be so kind, to some customers, to drop my Labour to £39 plus VAT on the quicker jobs!

Sounds more like he’s been putting wires in the wrong place. Either on the board or the pressure switch.

    Re: Brandt VF300-JU1

Well this ones back to haunt me, machine worked fine up until the 23rd of December.

Ive been back today to check the door switch as suggested, but this machine only has one fitted. The door lock has a space on the left for another switch but its empty.

Im going to have to assume its the heater relay playing up as the heater is still testing ok.

Does anyone have the part number for the module and also the number for the temp probe?

    Thanks.

    Re: hoover stuck in program

To cancel any programme you have to hold the start button until all the lights flash and then a bit more until the end light appears.

You can then turn it to OFF. Then select whatever you want after that.
