Had a candy version of this machine doing the same. Module was at fault.

ParticipantRe: Indesit iS60V Tumble Dryer
Actually its even easier than that. I read it as a condenser, yours is a vented, sorry.
😳
You will need something to help you stretch the belt over the motor shaft.
I use an 4 inch extension from a 1/2 inch socket set.timdowning
ParticipantRe: Indesit iS60V Tumble Dryer
Nice job really.
Top and side off.
Fan cowl off & front fan off.
Tension pulley off.
Tease belt over front of drum and over motor shaft.
Put belt in place. Fit tension pulley last. This can be tricky but do-able.timdowning
ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
My phone rang at 10.50, 10.54, 11.11, 11.14 & 11.16.
1st one wanted no call-out.
2nd, 3rd & 4th both admitted machines had been playing up for weeks but wanted to know if I could call today. (Managed to keep 3rd & 4th.)
5th wanted to know why her machine wasn’t spinning but wasn’t willing to try it with an empty drum as she couldn’t see what that would prove.Grrr…..

ParticipantRe: In praise of Affresh
It may be good stuff but surely the small profit on Affresh is going to
be cancelled out by all those door seal jobs, blockages etc you wont get.I personally wouldn’t be promoting a product that will reduce the jobs I’m getting.
I always advise on maintenance washes blah, blah, blah. But nothing of
such a quick instant fix, blow that!!!!timdowning
ParticipantRe: whirlpool FH error
Normally, as you know, if the machines fills then pumps a bit, it should then fill some more with the other side of the valve.
So I would be looking at the valve being Open Circuit.

Fill time out, open circuit valves etc, etc.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint VTD00 Tumble Drier – belt keeps breaking
Its suprising how many I’ve repaired that only need a belt.
Even the ones that need a bearing / shaft kit & belt you can still earn a nice £50 for your trouble. I charge £69.33 for this. (Parts, Labour & VAT.)
(I’ve never once fitted the front pads or seals, perhaps I’ve been lucky?)
Martin, just out of interest what profit do you make on the zanussi dryers?
(I think comet were doing a new zanussi for £199 this weekend, how do you compare with that?)timdowning
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint VTD00 Tumble Drier – belt keeps breaking
This range, as you know, can be a pain. If you”ve checked and double checked, then I would say its user error. Overloading or putting unspun washing in it. Not that the customer would admit to such a thing.

Rob, diversion to mobile. Been doing it for years! Still dosen’t stop it from happening though.
Yesterday had a call at 15.02, went straight to answerphone because I was on the phone to a customer.(Its like buses, two always come at once.)
Picked up message & called back the customer at 15.06. This was too late as she had booked with someone else.
This morning out of area on mobile, by the time I had called back when in better reception, too late. Time elapsed 33 minutes.
Your lucky if it never happens to you even with call diversion. 😉

Dick, that is my pet hate too. Its happening more and more, people don’t give a monkeys.
The worst ones are the ones which you phone back within minutes, but still have managed to get someone else in that short time. Why leave a message if your not going to give someone a few minutes to call back. 😡
I’m a slave to the phone, as we all are, so I can’t give the phone much more attention than I do.

ParticipantRe: hoover PE235 Door handle?
I sold 100’s of those PE235’s, great little machine, along with the HPE236’s. I keep 3 of that part number in the van, so its definitely the right part. Bit of a fiddle but get comfy and it can all be done with the door still on and by just undoing the two screws that go through the metal plate.

ParticipantRe: For the attn. of the Hotpoint genii
All the WMA’s I’ve stripped to change the bearings have all had the restrictor in the switch. This is the only time I’ve looked that close at them.
As long as you fiited a new WMA switch I can’t believe it would be a problem. Theres no way you could easily get the restrictor out of the old switch.

ParticipantRe: Ton of silicone for a few quid? In Pontefract.
Its a shame I missed this post.
On my way home tonight I popped in and bought 5,000 from Gibbs & Dandy.
They fitted perfectly in a 1/2 tonne bag though. 😉(Theres no chance that bag holds 10,000.)

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint TDC62p partially heating up
With the filter out of the door, look down inside where the filter lives. Blockages there give your symptoms.
