Yes the 1 year Gtee was always a good selling point. Doubt if I will bother with Merloni modules any more as 6 month is not really on in my opinion.

    The answer is NO.
A very poor dishwasher that will be forever breaking down as you have proved 😥
Buy quality it works out cheaper in the long run.
Would suggest a Siemens, they come with a 5yr parts & labour gtee.

If the door lock has blown there is a good chance it has damaged the power module.
    Switch off power before checking.
A model number would be useful. 😆

    Re: Can’t Think Of One!

I was a bit confused 😕 with the Times article (Wed 20th Aug) Where they state
“The Lords committee admits that it may not be in manufacturers interests to build longer- lasting goods, and suggests that the manufacturers be given an incentive to make sustainable goods.
The committee argues that variable VAT should be introduced so that goods that use sustainable materials would attract lower rates of VAT or none at all”

It`s the sustainable materials bit that confuses 😕 me as metal makes up the biggest percentage of washing machines, dishwashers and tumble dryers.
Is metal more sustainable than plastic or plastic more sustainable than metal when recycled 😕
If the latter is the case then will we see even more plastic materials introduced on future models?

Check the condenser valve coil and check the thermistor that is mounted in the condenser tank to tub hose. Wire to thermistor some times breaks.

Re: What are the best quality bearings and where do you buy

You are probably not over doing it as I have fitted many sets of genuine Hotpoint bearings that sound really rough when you start them up. 😥
I always use a bearing puller but it makes no difference 😥
