    Thanks Dave,

The letters and numbers did took me a while to make sense of it. It is Hotpoint based machine with a whirlpool frock on it.

Will have a look, the error message did show up as H but no fault code. customer did say F15 or F16 at one point (I can’t remember exactly) but it did not show up in my presence.

Just a short note to say thank you. I can confirm that the pattern part Hall sensor solved the problem. It is worth trying this first before pointing to the board.

    Thanks Dave,

The part number in question from ASWO is #5076819

This is the actuator for the second heat exchanger. Different from the usual one on the left side which is a plunger type. Both have different functions, this actuator is the same principle as found in detergent dispenser. I thought it was strange as both heat exchangers uses water and yet each one have different valves.

Do you think this actuator can still show up the same error code as e19 if it is not functioning correctly?

they are cheap enough to take a punt as connect have a pattern one for less than £5

    Dave

Hall sensor? Do you have part number for this?

Forgot to mention that the customer was very aggressive and threatening towards my wife who’s simply doing her job with answering calls and booking appointments.

electrofix wrote:does not mean its the module

if you read some of the posts online one person replaced the module only to find out it as loose connection in the cooker wall switch

No issues with the wall supply as it is a double socket with 13amps plug. The owner have two identical ovens both running from a 13amps plug each on the double socket. The power supply doesn’t seem to be affected other than I did question if 13 amps being too low as per manufacturer’s instruction which should have been 16 amps. I returned my thoughts on this that even if it was attempting to draw over 13 amps power consumption then it “should” trip the electrics or blow the fuse? The only think I can think of on how an oven would require 16 amps supply if the function requires all three elements to operate such as self cleaning or similar. The owner never used the self cleaning function as she only use it for grilling and fan oven baking as so do 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of Neff slide and hide owners do after shelling out hundreds of pound for the fancy functions which they never use.

Clearly it requires new module and possibly new cable loom to prevent loose connection. Photos to follow…if I can get it to work… not easy transferring photos from iPhone onto iMac then upload. Will do it on the iPad shortly.

Six months later after replacing the fascia module, same error message came up. The owner says that the button hasn’t been sensitive compared with the second oven.

At the time when I replaced the module, it was all working fine. I don’t know why this happened six months later. I can’t keep replacing the module as it is expensive something must have caused it, the bulb is not defective this time. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Summat is weird going on with Chronopost/DPD… now I received notifications that it was sent back to the sender .

It would be nice to be told, (actually, I got this super weird email from ASWO issuing credit note which I assumed it was for the shipping cost and it wasn’t clear at first and it implies that it is for the entire order) mercifully I managed to source the elusive parts elsewhere and my reputation restored.

I accidentally ordered another part via Chronopost (fat fingers and poor mobile reception and upload latency) and it’s Fagor/Brandt/CDA parts which should be interesting as I can’t source this part elsewhere if things goes belly up. Maybe this one will sail through to me if you excuse the pun.

Forgot to ask, what is voltage rating should I be looking for? Not 230 volts?

electrofix wrote:have had aqua stop valves go but normally is not the coil that fails, it normally has slow flow. Its also poss when the valve energises it has normal flow then stops due to diaphragm damage. Was looking for long shots as its always the unusual faults that stump you

the one way you can be certain its not a valve fault is to check for voltage going to the valve

    Dave

forgive me… how to do you check the voltage and where (the module side?)? The cable is very thin, just saying…

The dreaded e19 fault? I do have the drain valve, come to think of it I did notice that the tank didn’t drain completely (thank you, Jem) and it has some standing water inside the heat exchanger. I will try this one then check the board to the valve(?) – it’s very rare if not in my case never had to replace aquastop if that what you are referring to Dave?

The flaming dishwasher is 3 years old. Why is it that new dishwasher especially Bosch/Neff/Siemens test my mettle?

The DHL option is now the default ordering for me rather than Chronopost, it wasn’t an issue pre Brexit. Now it is. Still waiting for that elusive part….

I was credited for the postage not the parts. The last time it happened to me, I was resent the parts via alternative carrier and a week or two later the delayed order arrived. I couldn’t get a refund for the surplus part because of Brexit and lockdown/nobody in the office at Coventry which meant I was out of pockets quite significantly.

What are the other engineers experiences on returning parts from the UK back to ASWO, post Brexit/Lockdown/Covid?

I had something similar but in my case it was a water leak that I couldn’t locate as it happens after two cycles. Turns out that it was the sump that got warped and caused the seepage from the tank.
