Did anyone check at the rear of the control board for burnt tracks? I seem to recall that I did something similar few months ago. Not a cheap job that was especially for a relatively new oven that was just out of guarantee?

If it works well for them then good luck and have a disclaimer to absolve my responsibilities? I say to them that I do not know the effect but do this at your own risk.

No thoughts on dishwasher tablets as a washing machine cleaner?

How do I get to it? It looks like that I need to remove all the skins off to access the pump? In some respect AEG and Hotpoint tumble dryers are best for working on due to accessibility.

Thanks Dave, I had a look at the bulletin and at the end it says if problem is not solved then exchange the wash pump.

can I check that it’s not a typo? Both pumps are working fine, it still throws up e15 after 20 mins which I think it’s the change from main wash to drain then fill. My hunch that drain pump is the one that need exchanging. Unless I am wrong?

I replaced the pressure switch and it cured. Strange as I ever came across a faulty pressure switch on bosch washing machines. I am pleased that it is now resolved.

Runs through the program fine, just water level being the issue. I blew down the tube to clear any junk, could hear bubbling and no resistance when I blew it down. It was low all the way through including rinse. No kinks on water hose, full blast of water entering the machine.

The insulation reading was a little low at 11 mohm but it is more likely that the motor needed cleaning in the distant future and it does not appear to have any impact on the wash load. Will keep you posted.

Managed to look closer and you are right that it is part of the handle and found the previous job that I did which confirmed on what you said about changing the bearing at the top. Easier to source it from ASWO than from Connect. Thank you for your help.

should come with part no 734654. not cheap at a retail price of £126

    Dave

Where do I get this part? The number is not listed elsewhere such as Connect and ASWO.

I think he knows this hence he called me to fix it. Turns out that “they” offered him alternative fan motor which has a short shaft. He tried to make it fit and he did this by swapping parts over by reusing the long shaft onto the new body which obviously made it worse. S-Zone says that the long shaft is 7-8 weeks order. Now it is a question of what shall I say to him… without saying that I strongly recommend a well known brand electrical heating item…

When I replace the bulb holder, I will have a look at the board to see anything unusual.

Turns out that it is the fascia module, caused by blown halogen bulb.
