ParticipantWhat did you do resolve in the end? As I have similar issue here, beeping during rinsing but water supply, drainage are clear. Maybe pressure switch playing up?

ParticipantOh to answer your question about the cooker, it was fine all along until this problem happens. So it is not a characteristic thing.

ParticipantI am not aware of new pans, I wanted to demonstrate that all six rings are doing this. Owner says it was taking ages to boil. To answer your question that it is a relatively new problem but been like this for a while according to the owner. She was waiting for the right moment to tell me and the fan oven broke which was why I was called out to the job purely for the oven.
I put the pans on myself to see how long does it take to boil and I thought it was ok considering then saw the switching off at random places. It became clear that the problem is there. I originally went out to replace the fan element and she did tell me about the rings, I thought maybe it is linked with the fan element so I fixed the fan oven. The owner says the rings are still misbehaving.

The original element rating is 1150w, also the earth tag is on the centre right hand just before the right terminal. I’m unsure if what you suggested is the right one?

Participantthanks, I will bear this in mind. The old module was burnt out around the chip so it was not possible to retrieve data from there.

ParticipantThe thing is that it never crossed my mind to cross reference with EMW prior to sending off. A phone call was made to check if they do module programming. Yes came the reply, £12 to do it then that’s the end of phone call. I got the raw end of the deal, unable to get refund on blank module and no one is willing to help. Puts me off trying to fix Hpt/Ind dishwashers.

ParticipantTo be honest that I am rather annoyed that they returned the module to say software needs updating whereas it is in their power to update their system. They can’t just dump it on to me leaving me high and dry. They need to act fast as like you said they can’t program new units.
There is a Hotpoint engineer around the corner from my house, maybe I can knock on his door and bribe him?

ParticipantI have sent off the module to EMW to have it programmed after the telephone call I made to them. Now they returned the module with the note to say “Sorry unable to program this one as software needs updating”. Am I missing something here?
Do you know anyone else who can program the module?

ParticipantAre you suggesting that I buy blank module and send it off to EMW to program it?

ParticipantMain chip blown. So it’s not possible for EMW to fix it as I often get this returned for the very reason of chip blown.
