    Hi pete909,

If I disconnect the elements the PCB still gets too hot.

Re: WFO2466GB/07 Out Of Balance Problem

I have a machine that seems to behave in the same way.
It fills and drains, motor rotates but when it gets to the spin it behaves as if the load is out of balance even with a good load that should not give problems.
Did you find an answer to this?

    Thanks Seamy,
    That would be useful.

Re: Beko WMA620W Door assembly does not fit

According to the tech sheet the part number for the front panel is 28124100 and the same for old and new door.
It says front door assembly change does not have any effect in front panel!
I see there are different versions of the hinge support, but this isn’t mentioned in the tech info from connect.

    Thanks timdowning,

I can see it now, not seen this one before.

Is it caused by a short in the divertor motor?

I can’t see the customer wanting to replace the PCB and heater unit on an 8 year old machine.

This has turned into an expensive problem for me, guess I’ll have to put it down to experience! 🙁

Thanks Loaf, I must have been typing the last thread when you posted your reply.
I have just put it on order,
    Thanks again,

I am trying to get one of these resistors, I know this is a very old thread but wondered if you have any of these lurking in the dust somewhere, if not do you have a part number?

I have spoken to Stoves and they are unable to identify the part, it’s possible it may be obsolete but wanted to make sure.

Re: Creda Tumble Dryer trips the RCD on High setting…..

The most likley problem is an earth fault in the heater & thermostats.

In the pump unit there is a small hole from behind the condenser unit that allows the condensed water to run into the pump chamber. If this hole gets blocked it allows the water to fill bhind the condenser unit and overflow in the fan area below the heater, the fan then sprays the water up into the heater and causes the fault.

The heater unit which is available herehttp://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tumble+Dryer+Parts/Creda/Heating+Elements/1701169+Hotpoint+Creda+Tumble+Dryer+Heater+Element.html.

If you remove the heater cover on the rear of the machine (please make sure the machine is unplugged) you should see the heater will be wet.
If you decide to replace the heater make sure the blockage is clear and the machine drains.

    Re: Indesit WM12X Drum Question

If you are getting a scraping noise when you rotate the drum by hand it may be something like a bra wire between the two drums.

Get a small torch and place it in the bottom of the inner drum so some of the light shines through the holes, rock the drum left to right and look through the holes, sometimes it is possible to see if anything is sitting in the bottom.

You should see the element in the bottom and quite often if there is a bra wire it will be in that area.

If that is unsuccessful you could remove the element and look through the hole, the problem with this approach is were the element seal would have been compressed for such a long time it will be extremely difficult refitting.

If you are not able to find anything then as iadom says, replace it, but not with an Indesit. Look through the forums on what to buy and more importantly what not to buy.

Re: Bosch WFK 6010; possible to replace brushes?

The shape of the casting has changed, the brushes in the new casting fit in the same way s the brushes you have seen on youtube.

If you decide to order I would recommend giving the supplier the model number of the machine and let them determine the part number that way if there is any discrepancy the responsibility is the suppliers.

If you decide to get new brushes I would still strongly recommend having the motor tested for earth faults and the condition of the commutator checked first.

Re: Bosch WFK 6010; possible to replace brushes?

I think to change the brushes on this motor you will have to replace the brush ring part number 496871 .

This comes as the rear motor casting and contains the brushes, brush holders, TOC and motor plug.

The cost of this part is more than £50 so before you order it I would recommend you get the armature and windings tested.
