There wasn’t any fault with the heater, this checked out OK.

I was unable to trace this back to a specific connector.

    Re: invoice generating software.

    I use QuickBooks.
It allows you to create sales receipts and invoices. It manages invoices for sales and purchasing.
With the invoices and receipts you can print and post of email.
I don’t think the SimpleStart version manages suppliers bills or uses sub categories.
The Pro version is a bit pricey, retails at £249+VAT but is available on Amazon for a total of £150 for 2010 version.

Another option if you have a bit of time is try ‘Serif Webplus starter edition’ this is free with a few limitations but will probably do what you need. Worth downloading to try http://www.serif.com/web-design-software/.

It’s fairly easy to use and has a WYSIWYG interface so you can drag and drop on the page.

As far as getting reasonable rankings on Google, as the other posts suggests, list your business with google maps, list it with ukwhitegoods, any ‘backlinks’ from other sites will help and again, content is important.

There are many other things that can be done to improve rankings but I would suggest get the site sorted out first.

Re: Stoves EFA600H oven cooling fan not working

Stoves were very helpful and sent a wiring diagram (unusual for a manufacturer to provide this sort of information).

Turns out the blue wire to the fan that should have supplied the neutral was connected to the wrong position on the selector switch and provided a live instead.

Don’t you just love it when someone else has already had a go!

Re: Stoves EFA600H oven cooling fan not working

Both stats (the one mounted above the oven cavity and the one on the top left rear) are both closed circuit so I don’t think it’s that, this is why I wondered if the cooling fan runs all the time the oven is on because logic suggests one of these stats would bring it on as the oven heats up.

    Thanks Clayside,
This makes me laugh, the customer was one of those that said “it won’t need parts”, I look forward to giving him the good news!

    Thanks Iadom,

Before placing this thread I went through every page of the fault codes, I searched for the model number and couldn’t find anything.

You nearly had me though, I just checked the date of the post you linked to!

    Thanks 🙂

‘Comunication error’ I guess this could account for the intermitent loss of display?

Re: UK Whitegoods Shutdown & Upgrade

    Hi Ken,

Well done on the upgrade, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into crossing a CMS to a different platform, particularly on a site of this size with so many different features.
I think the Joomla! platform is a good choice.

I can see you’re going to be busy for some time ironing out all the small problems that are only to be expected when taking on such a task.

The chances are you will already be aware, but there is one problem that I think needs to be addressed fairly soon, the member login and logout in the head of the site doesn’t work. I can still login with the module that appears in the right column.

Another problem is in some of the articles the characters are not displaying properly.

The only other issues are very minor to do with templating and really a matter of personal preference.

Well done on a brilliant job,

    Keith.

    Re: AWM029 On/Off switch

I ordered and received the switch from Masterpart, when fitting it is different to the original.

The terminals at the back of the switch are missing. According to the ebay advert it says the 2 terminals for the neon are not in use.

The wires that I have left disconnected for now go to J14 on the timer PCB not the neon and the on/off neon still works!

Does anyone know what these 2 blue wires are for?

    Thanks whiskey_six,

I checked the NTC on the element but missed the ‘drying tunnel outlet NTC’ might be worth checking that first.
What resistance should I expect for this, about 27Ω?

    Re: AWM029 On/Off switch

    Thanks Bazza500,

Connect do’t recognise this number and Masterpart list it as NLA.

    That solves that one then!
