It looks as if this is the large shaft tub support fitted into a metal spider.

I think it will need the brg942260 kit and possibly the 5031680276404 seal as I am unable to verify the seal with the kit will fit the metal spider.

You mean you don’t get the clunk as the dispenser opens and the tablet drops? 🙂

I had the bosch dishwasher (600mm) for a few years now and I haven’t had any problems with drying or any concern about the level of noise.

If I had to buy another tomorrow I wouldn’t have any problem choosing another Bosch.

Not sure but I might have a data cable for this, as it switches on you might be possible to access the memory.

    Could be worth a try!

Thanks for the wiring diagram Mike,

it looks as if the board is triggered by a neutral from either the grill regulator or one of the oven thermostats. As there is a permanent live and neutral and the fan doesn’t run when any of the elements are turned on I can’t see it being anything other than the PCB.

    Thanks again,

    Keith.

    Thanks for the email Greg,

As the machine was overfilling and the motor was rotating through the was and distribute I didn’t think to check the carbons.

I will go back and take another look.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

I don’t know, I didn’t remove it, just checked it in situ. I would have to go back and take a few measurements. Any idea of the wattage on these?

    Thanks Penguin,

Due to the age of the appliance I doubt the customer is going to go for the repair.

I will price it up and call her tomorrow, you never know, stranger things have happened!

Re: The cheek of the bloke!

I am often asked for sticker/cards by customers so they can give them to friends.

If not asked I usually offer them several, as they are small suggest they put them in there personal phone book.

It’s surprising how many times I’ve been to new customers to find they have one of my stickers on the machine, notice board or even telephone.

If they put it on the machine I sometimes get called to the same machine with new owners in the property who have assumed if i have worked on it in the past I must know the machine.

I rarely apply the stickers myself (retyped as ‘stick them on myself’ could be misconstrued).

They’re also useful to give to other tradesman that pas your number on to there clients.

Re: Creda T622CW air duct seal

    Thanks iadom,

The rear bearing is worn and in need of changing but not down to the metal ‘yet’.

Can you see if the drum seals require replacing or do you go by the fact the machine is filling with fluff?

I will look at the float chamber when I go back.

    Many thanks,

    Keith.

Penguin45 wrote:This doesn’t make sense. If you disconnect the mains suppressor and apply power, the machine is not connected to the mains. If you are still reading leakage, it can only be the mains cable, can’t it?

I read this differently and assumed the machine is being tested for earth leakage with a meter and possibly from inside the cabinet rather than the plug end!

A couple of possibilities to consider:

      1. Are there any signs of water leaking or is the machine situated in a damp area?

    2. Are any of the wires chaffed and touching the cabinet or any other ‘earthed’ part of the machine?

Remember though, as Penguin so rightly says:

UKW does not support or condone live testing, please don’t do it.

Re: No smoking in business vehicles from 1st July

    Just found this information:

Smoking in a smokefree premises or vehicle: a fixed penalty notice of £50 (discounted to £30 if paid within 15 days from the issue of a notice) or a fine by a court not exceeding level 1 on the standard scale (up to £200)

Failure to display no smoking signs in smokefree premises and vehicles as required by the new law: a fixed penalty notice of £200 (discounted to £150 if paid within 15 days from the issue of a notice) or a fine by a court not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale (up to £1000)

Failing to prevent smoking in a smokefree premises or vehicle: a fine by a court not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale (up to £2500)

so if you fail to display a sign and allow someone to smoke while you have one to keep them company you could face a fine up to £3700!

The bad news is it will be enforced by the local councils so they probably will have cameras watching your every move in the hope of generating even more revenue, you can guarantee common sense wont enter the equation.

That was what I was looking for. Neither Connect Parts Centre are able to give the alternative and I knew there was one.

    Thanks.
